BioWare developed MDK2, just to clear up confusion.

...the phone became "stolen" when the person who "found" it didn't make an effort to return it to Apple. Sure, the "finder" of the phone says he attempted to contact Apple by making a phone call (a = one), but considering the guy had his Facebook profile linked on that phone all the "finder" had to do was boot Facebook, see whose account was linked and contact them to say "hey, I found your phone."

Instead, the guy holds onto it f...

Sure, Bejeweled is fun. I love it. But saying it's the most popular game of the century is like saying "this is the best sandwich I've had since lunch." It may technically be true, but it's a tad disingenuous.

...is that there is no definite answer. What one person may consider art, another may consider pointless tripe. Furthermore, neither side is going to convince the other that they're wrong no matter how much shrieking and self-serving diatribes both sides put forward.

It's not that Roger Ebert is wrong. It's that ANYONE, on EITHER SIDE who puts forth an argument based on the absolute principle that something IS or ISN'T "art" is wrong. Period.

And N4G reall...

Just like how nobody buys those pointless "Imagine" games, eh? I know it's hard to accept -- hell, I can barely comprehend it -- but this kind of crap sells.

...when an issue of absolutely zero importance, such as "zomg Farmville iz n0t t3h better than Valve!!1!1", gamers will rise up in a collective voice and shout "NO!"

But when a company like Infinity Ward tries to sodomize them with a $15 map pack, or Valve turns around and announces another Left 4 Dead, they throw their hissy fits before ultimately bending over, grabbing their ankles and asking for more.

Issues like this show exactly why "h...

...why don't you come back 'round when you get fired from your job so we can point and laugh at you a while, ya insensitive jackass.

I'm not one to say kind things about IGN. Over the last few years I think the company as a whole (not just their gaming division) had become something of a parody of itself. Even still, Roper was more than competent at his job. How he gets let go while Jessica Chobot stays is... well, beyond me.

Another article that tries to lure people in with the word "girl" or the fact that N4G approves anything pertaining to "girls" or "girl gamers?"

Not to mention that while I'm not going to dismiss the claims made in the article, is this really anything we've not heard a thousand times before?

It's been common knowledge that Infinity Ward and Activision have never really gotten along. There have even been rumors of shouting matches between IW brass and Activision brass for years over the direction of the 'Call of Duty' franchise. I somehow doubt that a "push back against change" is ALL that is going on at IW.

EDIT: G4 (they broke the story) is saying that Activision is looking into possible insubordination and breach of contract issues. This could mean lawye...

Even if they do realize the sarcasm, N4G has such a hard on for hating Jim Sterling because he doesn't like the same games they like that it won't really matter.

...considering the hype that people were putting on it to "revolutionize" the way stories would be told in games, it's hard to argue that Heavy Rain was a colossal bust. Even if you didn't listen to the hype a game like Heavy Rain, anyone who appreciates quality writing would have to look negatively at Heavy Rain because the one thing that really drives the experience (the story) is executed so poorly that it's almost laughable when logical thought is put into it.

...Mass Effect 2's story wasn't written in a "logic optional" environment. Heavy Rain was hyped up on its story that was supposed to draw people in and, I guess if you turn your brain off for a few hours, it does just that. But once you look at it objectively and actually try to think you quickly realize that Heavy Rain not only fails to "revolutionize" the way stories are told, it fails at the simple task of creating a tight, player-driven narrative.
