your right about that. in the end it means the ps3 version will either need more time in the oven and possibly delay the street date or have problems at release.
the developers need to walk a fine line, its too bad the game might suffer in sales due to people thinking the "devs are lazy"

you know, ever since Achievements and Trophies showed up in games i have been finishing more games then i did in the ps1 and ps2 days. in fact last month i finally beat some games that have been sitting unfinished for a while like deadspace, masseffect, dmc4, infamous, gow:c, uncharted, farcry2, and both GTA episodes.
my brain hurts looking at that mess. and who buys anything less that a year of live anyway?
i wouldn't worry to much. Fallout3 was a RPG with shooter elements and Rage seems to be a Shooter with RPG elements, and some vehicles thrown in for fun.
rage looks good, the only downside i can see atm is the long wait.
