I swear, it seems today no one can be pleased with anything. Back in the day these games would have been a pipe dream.
I’m mainly a PS gamer and yeah I was a little peeved MS bought out Bethesda. Maybe because I’m older now and I grew up in the NES era, I personally don’t see the huff puff over FPS. I’ve played games in 30 and 60 and neither one made a good game bad or a bad game good.
Anyway bought a SX last year and now I hope starfield keeps dust off it.
Wow. Are you old enough to remember the PS360 generation? Xbox has always been home of Bethesda RPG and ushered in the the open world western RPG to the casual market. Bethesda only hit on PlayStation was Fallout 4, and that was due to the sheer amount of market share MS lost due to the XBone abomination.
This is exactly the game Xbox consumers want any why there’s so much riding on it being successful.
As a technician by trade and racer as a hobbyist. I love racing games, but I’m burned out on Forza. Forza 4 was the highlight of the series, but lately it’s been same exact game but they added loot crates. The homologation ruined 7 for me.
Sure it looks pretty but add legit drag racing, auto cross, rally, and not just a poor afterthought attempt.
It was pretty lackluster. Spider-Man and FF we already knew about. I think Sony trying to keep their shows to games that are coming within 12 months instead of showing stuff that’s 2yrs or more out.
Honestly though I never got into comic stuff like Spider-Man or FF so for me there really wasn’t anything to be excited about. I don’t have time to invest in live service games anymore. Guess I’m getting old now, only games I’ll probably get will be tear down and AC mirage and those are m...

For me the issue is I’m 35 and have a home,wife,kid on the way, etc. so having time to dump into a GaaS title is non existent. Even if I like the game I can’t be competitive or keep up with the rest of the players because I simply don’t have the time. I would always be at a disadvantage or fomo feelings.
With single player games I can start and stop whenever I want on my own time and the game hasn’t changed if I don’t play it for 2 or 3 weeks.
I don’t condone piracy but I agree that buying ps5 and SX has felt pretty blah to me. Biggest gain I’ve personally noticed is load times but other than that they may as well be another mid gen upgrade.
Well if I have the disc version of horizon forbidden west and then that game gets added to ps+ I can then redeem it and no longer have to swap discs if I decide to boot it up. Plenty of scenarios for this but it’s not a shout from rooftop sorta thing.
These are the games you should buy. It shows EA what your willing to pay for. Voting with your wallet goes both ways.
I’m buying this because I love the series and I have just a slither of hope that maybe it will show EA that I want them to let Bioware not turn my other fave franchise (Dragon age) into poop.

Name some publishers that haven’t used shady business practices. Any anthem news gets released and people here and all over shit on the game and ea and bioware calling it dead or hot garbage.

At least they are apologizing and engaging with people. Unlike no mans sky dude just went ghost for months.
Maybe that’s why they are doing the trilogy remaster. Make saves carry over to this new game? Maybe.
Yup, that and the Mass Effect teaser is my biggest take away. God I really hope Bioware can get it together.
PD are known for delays so I won’t expect this anytime soon. On the other hand I’m super excited for it as it looks like they are going back for their roots!
I’ve enjoyed them all except Anthem. I just don’t buy always online games.
First GT, now Forza. Well I will play it so long as it’s on gamepass I guess. But I won’t be putting a ton of effort into it. I did the career on GT7 and haven’t touched it since. No point in collecting all the cars and grinding when you’ll eventually loose access to all that hard work.
Now I’m older and don’t have the free time to play like I used to, locking all this content behind a massive grind kills my interest.
