Yeah I think we have just hit the point of diminishing returns as far as hardware goes. Growing up through all the gens it was super cool seeing the new generation games and how much of a generational leap games became and with this transition it’s been pretty blah outside SSDs reducing load times.
1 game a year is pathetic compared to Sonys track record though. Really feels as if I could have kept my ps4 pro all this time and not miss much outside the benefits of a SSD.
Hopefully with this and intergalactic the next few years can really start cooking.

A mouse and game chat aren’t new and certainly wouldn’t consider them gimmicks. At least 3DS had glasses free 3D.

Not being able to play latest and greatest games in a few years will really make it a tougher sell at $500 when ps6/Xbox-whatever comes out.
At $350 it’s kind of a second console/kid toy purchase.

The fact it runs 30+ fps on the deck at all is pretty cool. Also it’s a remastered version and not a vanilla 5yr old game.
Like zero dawn remastered runs like crap on handhelds but the original port works quite well.
You can get a OG Ally Z1E that’s 2yrs old and run circles around this thing. Nothing about the switch 2 is future proof. Wow they added a new button for in game chat. Wow, welcome to 2006.
I will get one eventually for the exclusives because they do make some fun games for the family.
But nothing Nintendo does is future-anything. Guess adding a front facing camera to the system itself was out the budget? So they sell you a stand alone camera like the PS...

I was 18 when AC first came out. Most longtime players like myself are pushing 40 now and we have lives, wives, kids, and most anything that doesn’t involve video games anymore.

My boondocks country living just had fios ran and it’s getting hooked up tomorrow. Planning to DL this game and test out that gig plan. Coming from hotspots I’m like a kid in a candy store.
About 10 years too late for that. Younger gamers are most antisocial bunch there is and society as a whole been leaning that way as well.
I miss the midnight launch parties the most but I believe those days are history now when everyone can just preload games and play when clock hits midnight.
GameStop is just a business that has fell victim to what killed shopping malls, blockbuster, movie theaters, bowling alleys, etc.
Missed opportunity….they could have used the cordysceps virus strands wrapping out it. Spores, vines, anything pertaining to the actual series other than faction symbols.
I’m a physical advocate but unfortunately I think those days are coming to an end. I always bought steelbook editions for my collection but now companies want you to buy a $120 edition to get a steelbook with a download code. Pretty much my final straw.
It’s actually not a bad game it’s just not a great dragon age game. It’s absolutely nothing like the previous games. I’ve been a diehard DA fan forever and I’ll see it through for the lore alone is quite good.
Games always cheaper on PC. One of the reasons I switched. Along with free online, no more dumb subs and still get free games from various stores.
I do miss the convenience of consoles though. It just works.
I’m currently playing through it now and I don’t dislike the game but it is different.
And Corinne is most definitely a dude. No amount of makeup and dumb dumb pills will change that. I say good riddance.

Loved TloU1, part 2 was great game under the hood but the direction I have mixed feeling about. Really been wanting a reason to hold onto my ps5 and I think this might be it. The retro future setting looks amazing. Jordan looks the part of a believable female bounty hunter.
It was just a tease trailer but looks like a slam dunk from my house.
Playing this is making my high school self all giddy. Especially that I can play this on a damn handheld now.
