That's what happened with Vita. People praised the hardware but media kept writing doom and gloom articles every 5 seconds and sadly many people believe what they see on the internet. So it started a snowball effect and died.

They definitely aren't in the dark ages anymore. They have responded to what the people want which no doubt is in response to the people voting with their wallets. I don't think MS will ever have that global "win". But there is room in the market for both companies to make money.
I'm loving what they are doing with Xbox. But they need to invest in more risks and IPs and go through the growing pains and not relying on their 3 big franchises.

Yeah. What I'm saying is why are Sony handing out $10 vouchers? Is it for the 10th anniversary of PS Store? Region specific? Promotion? Or Sony woke up one morning and wanted to give everyone $10?

I don't expect it to be discounted much more than that anyway. Most Black Friday deals are older items so stores can clear stock.
