His dislike goes beyond just gamers it's about tech and disconnect etc. This has been brought up in multiple interviews and articles over the years (Under stage and real name).

Certain things call attention to a name or self-label (even when inaccurate), this is why it is used. You are seeking attention from those to go "oh hey a Girl", or "oh hey a gay gamer", or "oh hey a racist gamer" etc. etc.... attention seekers suck. Have a witty gamertag and just enjoy gaming, rather than seeking an audience. Seriously WTH?

Oh gee wonderful because it was such a show stopper at E3 a couple years ago (wonder why everyone walked right by it even with Jaffe presenting it himself). Far from outrageous. A dog crapping on the lawn is more outrageous than this. Getting a gum ball stuck in a 1c gum ball machine would be more exciting and be far more engaging.
It's like a GDK or SDK that is years behind others and the users of the said GDK or SDK do nothing but make excuses for it. Meanwhile others have moved miles above and beyond it.
