On a serious note. What is up with all the users to seem to wish Onlive to fail. Comments like "This will never work". "Users who believe this will work are stupid".
It might not work. I don't know. All I know is that these guys have spent millions and millions of dollars on this product. It is in Beta. We have no reviews of this product at all.
Why don't we all just wait and see what the final product will look...

He is using a borrowed account for a computer that is within the range of the server, yet he is out of range. This has been stated time and time again as a dealbreaker. All players must be within 1000 miles to play lag free. This guy could be 5 times out of range.

The PS3 has been out 3 years and 2 months in the US. It has been out 2 years and 10 months in Europe. How in the world is that almost 4 years.. (and he had originally wrote 5 years, my god)
Sony said that the PS3 was profitable over a year ago. Profitable meaning if you take the loss of a PS3 and add the royalties from game sales the console was making profit. That profit is even bigger now with the costs being down and game sales being up.

That cant be true.
If you look up sales during the PS3's lifetime you will see it has sold more than 2 million more compared to the 360.
You are half way right.
A Danish company (Im from denmark) will release a pair of glasses in the spring that will make it possible to see 3D on a regular HD TV. The glasses will do the split images the TV normaly would do. If the effects will be as good I don't know.

This changes nothing. MS has around 2.5 millions consoles sitting on the shelves at the stores as I'm sure Sony does.
This does not change the fact that Sony has gained 1-5 - 2 million in grown in the last months. The gap is still around 5 million between the two consoles in actual customer sales.

Did you not see the 48 minute presentation where he showed how all the problems you talk about were solved? They have it running with a 80ms round trip.
Millions of gamers is not a problem either.
They rent high scale serves that each can handle a number of players. A server filled with players makes profit. Meaning every time you start running out of servers you just rent another one. More server = More profit.

Man some of the features look tempting.
Accesss to game betas.
1 hour of full games trial.
Access to PSone classics and PSP minis.
If you pick option 2 and 3 you get pretty much everything for $15 / $100 per year.
