Single-player games account for a larger budget than only-multiplayer games...I think it's all a numbers game to these companies. That's why it's so surprising these days when you hear a game say that it has no multiplayer.
The issue I have with multiplayer-only games is that you're basically renting the game until they shut off the servers. Logistically, it doesn't make sense to invest in them either, but a hell of a lot of people keep buying the DLC pac...
Duke has had a tough time making it in this millennium. It's sad to see any game get pulled like this, but especially one that fans still want to play.
I think the amount of children playing these games nowadays has tripled if not quadrupled what it was back when COD was in it's hey-day. It's far more accessible to them for whatever reason than it previously was, and that could play a huge part into it's standing success.
That's the only assumption I could come to as to why anyone would ever run out and buy another COD at this level. Treyarch in all fairness is the better of the two developers, but even then...
Well, to be fair...the 90's film and the newest Godzilla film both sucked. So, expectations weren't too high for the game.
I'd be more interested in a Rampage reboot at this point than another Godzilla game.
I wish more people would realize how good this game is. I've been playing since Halo 1 way back when and I've had to put up with my friends who suck at the newest Halo's tell me how much they hate the newer games. This game stands on it's own as the best entry 343 has made. It's just pure fun.
It's coming to PC bub. Xbox owners will do just fine without it. If anything, Tekken has taken over what Street Fighter had going for it in the 90's. Street Fighter is not even close to being the best fighting game regardless.
Agreed...IW hasn't had a good cod since MW2. Most of those employees that worked on the MW series are gone now, which is why their last two games have been terrible.
I remember this game but I think I preferred True Crime at the time a bit more.
'Tis the season of Deadpool.
A Steam App would be great!
He looks beastly!
It's always good to see a newer IP succeed with a sequel.
I suppose I am impartial too as an owner, but it just seems like Microsoft releasing a major game or two on Windows 10 platforms is allowing the Sony fans to just destroy MS. If Sony had an operating system on PC, they may have chose to do something similar with their games to reach as many gamers or consumers as possible and get the best of both worlds. I won't comment on Sony's IPs or exclusives as I have my own opinion on their games.
I was a Sony fan in my early ...
The maps I've seen so far for this game are really awkward and uninspiring. Everything is a bland corridor, or a rooftop.
I think that they should have strayed away from the cell-shader graphics on this one. If you're going to have all of that destruction, it would have been nice to have a better visual-style.
Definitely looks like a high-quality game. Can't knock Remedy for going out on a new limb.
Can't believe I'm saying this but I think Operation Raccoon City looks more enjoyable than this game.
Cliff probably knows the fans would have struck him down where he stood the moment he signed the contract.
That being said, the man did create Gears of War, so it's not like he doesn't have talent.
As bad as the ending is in ME3, I've still played through it a handful of times and will again. Hell, I was going to re-do the entire trilogy again before Andromeda comes out, so I can listen for any references to the original trilogy.
I loved the game for the most part, but man did I hate the whole Shepard dream sequence thing where he's chasing the boy. That was just weird, unnecessary and annoying.
ME2 still stands as my favorite with the storyli...
This is a wonderful way to stick a middle finger up to Konami. Plus, who wouldn't want to hang out with Norman Reedus aka Daryl Dixon?
