Having an actual physical item for a pre-ordered game like this is awesome.

I think this has prevented developers from charging subscription fees...Microsoft has made a monopoly of this situation because no company will throw out a game with its own subscription fees any time remotely soon. Microsoft beat them to the punch.
I worry that this will increase the price of games themselves...60 bucks for a game....60 bucks for live. Thats 120 bucks. More than 1/3 of your Xbox hardware cost. Matter of fact...you could probably get a standard 20 gig 360 Pr...
Its been a good year for microsoft...They didn't need to increase the price of what they are already banking on...Live is the most successful form of online gaming- period. That being said...I've never used any other features other than online gaming (which should be free). Its ridiculous to justify an increase when there's no value coming from it...They haven't even explained what they are adding! Regardless...I'm forced to continue to pay out the wazoo just to play a gam...

Game of the year like it or not.
It could be worse but its unwarranted and unnecessary. I only use Live for online gaming...which I've been doing. All the extra stuff I don't even bother with...so in my opinion charging another 10 bucks is ridiculous but I'll deal with it next year as I just renewed for about 40 bucks through amazon.
I think it should have decreased...I don't see the need to get greedy here Microsoft. It's already going to be a good year for them.

I need Game Of The Year Editions because I tend to skip out on the DLC until I can actually get a physical copy of it so Game Of The Year editions are great.
FALLOUT 3 is the greatest example of this...You mind as well buy the GOTY edition, rather than spending the same amount digitally.
I thought the controls could have been better but everything else was amazing.

It is close but I doubt it will really affect anyone. There are big games coming out this holiday season to ease any profit-less pain.
Both consoles are great either way...but I think Xbox wins in the end. I know wayyy more people that have Xbox's than PS3's.
