Sony will cut PS3 price when they can, production costs are coming down all the time. So when they can pass the reductions on to the consummer, Sony will do.

@Mart - As Sony could just drop support for ther Guitar hero, no Sony Artists would hit activision in the wallet.
Activision is all talk, trying to push Sony into making a PS3 price cut.
PS3 Price cut will happen when Sony is ready to do it, not before.
True, but Sony could get round that by using PS Four or PS IV.
Untill internet connections become cheap as chips and alot faster. Digital downloads will never replace media for a good few years yet. Blu-ray has a bright future ahead.
Well most the R & D cost has been done this gen with the likes of Cell, Blu-ray.
So I think PS4 will go down the same route as before with uprated Blu-ray drives, Cell chip/s with more cores(SPU's), more ram, larger hard drives etc only be alot cheaper to launch.

so what, overall worldwide 360 can only manage to sell around 15k a week more than PS3 that cost twice it's price.
That got to be worrying for MS. It should be out selling PS3 by 3x that per week.

I mean I can guess there will be a couple of small fixes from now till FW 3.0.
PS3 is 2.5 million sales ahead of 360 at the same time frame.
Even with a higher price point, PS3 only sells 15k less than 360 a week worldwide. And that gap getting smaller by the week recently.
If the 360 is so great(which it is'nt) should'nt sales be treble that amount, given the price point difference.
Only lesson to be learnt, how MS can't build a reliable console.
