I thought that frame starts in memory then goes to GPU where it's rendered and then it goes on screen, GPU does rendering, not memory. You make it sound like memmory does rendering which is not possible ?!

Memory is given and you can't change that.You can store extra content on hdd so that yes swaping disc might be needed in the future but you might be able to install it on the hdd. To sum it up not enough memory is definitely worse than lacking storage space that can be compensated for by using hdd (optional) IMHO.
Just as the amount of disc space will remain the same (360) so will the amount of memory availible (PS3) :).
That should help them sell some more software (the sole reason for console is to sell software !!) as you will have to buy PS3 games instead of "playing your old ps2 games = no profit for sony".
Sony will now be at a price point they should have begin with in the first place . Good job on that !
I still believe that hardware won't really move untill the price get's in the $200-$300 range.
How much do you think Sony spent on making the PS3 ?? The "Cell" was very expensive to develop.

I have played the game for 9 hours yesterday (HDTV) and even though this game is a LOT of fun :), it is graphicly inferior to all the unreal eng. games (rainbow six vegas, gears, bioshock) you name it even COD 4 beta is better looking. I don't think I have ever seen a game on 360 that had more jaggies then Halo 3 (not even forza 2 :). It looks ok in single player with some amazing textures and lighting but it gets pretty bad in multiplayer. WTF bungie ??? this is supposed to be flagship title...
If UT3 is running fine then explain why is it delayed please.
