It's hard to compare the tech as Bungie and Guerilla went separate ways, KZ2 nails exhilarating smal scale close quarters urban combat whereas Reach has vast landscapes with epic vistas, many enemies on screen and vehicular combat.
I enjoyed both equally, online and off, 2 top games on their respective consoles.
I don't mind, unlike movies or tv shows, it's possible to enjoy a game with a poor or non-existent story line provided the gameplay is good. Of course, where possible I make an effort to buy games that succeed in all areas, but some games, for example the majority of shooters, have weak stories but still prove to be enjoyable.
It's certainly visually impressive, sadly I'm not a fan of action/hank and slash games. For me my top 3 PS3 games of the year are Battlefield BC2, Pro Evo 2011 and Heavy Rain, however, I'm yet to play GT5, so this is subject to change.
Judging by the number of disagrees, you must be lying to us waseem335.
Hilarity ensues.
Stop complaining about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining about GT5
Raztad, GT HD actually ran at a higher native resolution than GT5 does, so you can't blame upscaling.
Too Human received mediocre reviews and Alan Wake scored well but not spectacularly, so I'm not sure why you say that.
The fact is, since the release of the original GT, it has been seen as a the premier driving simulator on consoles. This has never really been challenged till Forza came along. I'm not saying Forza is better or worse, they both have their good and bad points, but the point I'm trying to make is whereas before GT games could have perhaps gotten awa...
I wasn't so keen on Heavenly Sword, finished it far too quickly and felt no desire to replay it for the extras. Then again, I'm not a massive fan of action/hack and slash games and thought the same about God of War 3.
Clintos, how on earth can you make a comparison between the average looking standard cars in GT5 to the breathtaking cut scenes in MGS4?
Excellent stealth trolling vhero!
I'm not American, so correct me if wrong, but isn't today one of the biggest shopping days of the year over there?
Graphics have improved on the PS3 since prologue.
When you say mod, do you mean you cannot alter the cars in anyway (i.e engine or rims/spoiler)? Or just can't make visual changes like rims?
If they want my money, then they need to produce a game that lasts longer and is of a higher quality all round.
That's certainly one way to spin it.
"yearly updates at full price with zero to know progress at all and calling it a sequel"
What does Call of Duty have to do with GT?
There's no point comparing as I'm sure the scores are relative to their genre/type.
Excellent news, this is definitely my most played game this year and the most fun I've had online for quite some time.
Having played both Killzone 2 and Halo 3 extensively and MW2 for a day or 2 online, that comment is nonsense.
Killzone 2 is an excellent game and serves as a great foundation for Killzone 3. Hopefully Guerilla refine and innovate in equal measures with its sequel, the online play was solid, but I disliked the interface, implementing a matchmaking system would be a good start, especially for groups of friends looking to play together.
