I have to say, Nintendo have really delivered this year with a strong and varied assortment of games. A special mention must go out to Super Mario Galaxy 2, absolutely masterful.
I disagree, 2007 was the peak of the 360, Halo 3, Forza 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, PGR4 and Crackdown all released that year for the 360. I'm aware some of those are no longer (console) exclusive to the 360, but upon release they were.
I agree, in fact, I would say it's my favourite console shooter of this generation, better than those games you mentioned and also others such as Killzone 2 and Resistance.

To be honest, I would have been annoyed if my launch PS3 that I paid through the roof for wasn't more powerful than a machine that released almost a year before for almost half the price.

It won overall GOTY on gamespot last year because it released in 2009 in the US.

Ratchet, there would be no 2011 for the PS3 if games like CoD and GTA hadn't released on it in the first place.
