Did MGS4 even win any GoTY awards?
Braid wasn't my cup of tea.
LBP was really boring playing in single player, and the multiplayer didn't really catch me either... it was fun for ~20 minutes tops.
GTA IV was the first game I traded in, simply because it annoyed me to death thanks to the hype and how horrible it really was.
I haven't played MGS4 or CoD, but I highly doubt MGS4 is that bad that it deserves a spot on the list.
Anyone here wanna get married like this? MS seem to be handing out wedding gifts...

The game isn't THAT good. I'm not talking about the graphics.
There are very few weapons, the gameplay is basically... well... same thing as you do the first 2 minutes.
I can think of better exclusives to be "ported".
Overrated game is overrated.
Personally I don't care which one I'd like to end up with, but the prices are INSANE. I can buy 7-8 games for this one game price.
It's just not worth it, unless you live with 3 other friends who'd like to buy it together.

True, but it doesn't make it a bad game.
Even without a multiplayer option, I still spend more time on it than any other game I have.
Even with such a short story, it's possible to get about 16 different endings, but that's not what one should be aiming for in Fallout 3. Side quests, freeform quests, random mini encounters, exploring and various other stuff is what makes Fallout 3 such a great game.
Fallout 3 deserves it.
The game is MASSIVE compared to... well any other game that came out in 2008.
I've spent over 100 hours in the game and I still haven't explored everything, and still not a single bit tired of it. Not to mention the mini expansions coming out as well...
As for GTA IV, the game was a pile of junk (apart from the story and voice acting). Seriously, the game was so bad (in my eyes), that I went and traded it in within a week and without completing ...

Does it matter who wrote it? If you haven't noticed, they're DEFENDING the game from being overhyped just like Halo 3 got.
Sure, they probably just want more attention, but they've still got a point.

Seriously... it's not needed, and as he says... it can only disappoint in the end.
Watch a few videos, read/watch/listen to a few interviews with the developers, and finally a few previews... you don't want to get everything spoiled by bloggers who only care about the amount of readers on their silly little blog.

The game has been out on the PC since September, and the only reason I don't have it because of my retarded 8800GT is overheating when playing games.... well, the fan actually makes more noise than my 360 drive, now go figure how bad it is :P

I believe the local multiplayer will be running on the same screen and not split. According to an interview, it was shown on the 360 that other players can bring their characters on a memory card and just pop into the world. The AI/mobs/whatever and loot should scale with the amount of players currently playing.

I was never a big fan of flamethrowers in games, so I suppose this one isn't going to affect me at all.
Well if it's optimized (unlike Crysis) it wouldn't require half of that :P
Not saying that the game looks bad, it's just that recent console -> pc games are poorly optimized. We all know that Saint's Row 2 isn't the best looking game out there, but people with SLI and quad core cpu's can barely run the game.
Great optimization like Unreal Tournament games is what we need more of on the PC.
