I Doubt that would happen, As from what was leaked by the guy who got the console early, the OS is pre installed and he was sure moving through the dashboard without downloading the 500mb Patch. If there is a power outage, surge or connection problem the console won't become bricked. You probably have to re-download the patch.....
I think part of the patch is to remove the DRM they had on the OS. Also i dont think people without internet will even buy a $500 Console, as for those at a military base, MS have to sort some shit out......

He has a point but it doesn't change the fact first party games are needed for a console to succeed. Just look at the PS3 and Wii. MS Needs more IP's they own and develop themselves....
i hope this certainly changes as they have opened 5 new Studio's for AAA Projects. I think the reason MS never focused that much on Core exclusive's is because they knew that Multi-platform games look best on 360 and hence they focuses on the damn kinect. Now it looks the PS4 will have better looking multi-platform games, It looks like MS have to provide great Exclusives to succeed.....Hoping for the best.....

I actually think you wont get banned because you connected early but if you post video's of unboxing and the UI and details of the product then probably you can get banned.
Raw Power play's a huge factor because it will eventually show the graphical incapability of the last gen and will show how big of a leap it is overall. But it will not decide who will win the ware, There are many factors to include in this. I remember PS2 crushed xbox and that was more expensive and weaker, though Playstation was a recognised price. Though both are definitely powerful its the support from the company's which will decide the winner.
PS4 is stronger and cheaper, but it is true just raw power does not win the war, it's the support which is provided: exclusives, online connectivity and experience overall which helps to win. Sony as of now is ahead now its up to the games and the price reductions and the future experiences to decide.

If they want to sell the xbox brand i think they should just sell the division to samsung and team up for supporting xbox. Samsung providing the hardware and MS providing the first party games. Though this is just a theory of xbox being sold.

The xbox brand is worth $11 billion at estimate. They have lost billions but since 08 they have been recouping the loss from Xbox live and the 360 slim sales.
They have lost billion's during the years but since 2008 they have been gaining a steady profit from the Xbox division, though they still ned to recover the loss from RROD.
the EU countries are getting Fifa 14 on all launch day xbox one's.
the game looks great, but still 720p sucks, i don't see how a game like Ryse could run 900p but Dead rising 3 cannot. Oh well the game is still going to be great.

PC Gaming is awesome, but to be honest what separates consoles form PC gaming is the exclusives provided by Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft. That's what makes it unique and plus that not every PC has the same spec's so to go with affordability Console's the right way to go......
Visually it looks great but the game itself looks terrible.....
I'm buying it from what i saw at E3, the exclusive's. Also i got to admit the upcoming TV shows associated with the games have intrigued me....
