I think people are disagreeing with you because you are assuming they ran out and bought a new xbox 360. How do you know that? Where is your proof that they did buy a new 360 and not a Wii or PS3?
Still looks pretty close between Sony and MS for sales in NA. Only a difference of 486,200 difference over 1 year. Thats like 40,516 a month or 1,350 a day which really isn't all that much. Good job to both MS and Sony.

I agree with Rocco. Bioware has "Evolved" when it comes to RPG's. Mass Effect will be the definitive RPG in 2010. Sorry, but the only one's who don't think it will are those who don't have a 360 or pretend like they have a gaming computer that they play on.
FFXIII will be a great game, no doubt, but Mass Effect was an Awesome new IP that took RPG of the year in 2008 and will take it again in the year 2010.

Funny, i don't recall anyone forcing the customers to purchase the game. The only people who don't seem to have their own free will are the Sony Droids like your self. Everyone that bought the game thought it was worth the money or else they wouldn't have bought it. I thought Sony idiots like yourself would have been used to seeing games not selling if they didn't interest the customer.

You are right. Japan is a very strong gaming market. Always has been always will be...however, not so much for the 360 or PS3. This gen belongs to the Wii in the Japanese market along with the handheld. So in regards to the PS3 and 360, i would say yes, it is a dying market. And you can thank the Wii for that.

- I disagree. Sales tell you what the masses want and are willing to pay for. If someone would rather pay $60 for a game on a shelf rather than the game beside it, than that person feels that game is is a better game for their hard earned money. And if millions of people select game a) over game b), then the masses have spoken with their wallets what is the better game.

I know FFXIII will be nominated as RPG GOTY but it will fall short to ME2. I promise you that. It sucks that it will be a year before we see which of is is the right one but i will remember this day and show you that you were wrong. =)

All you have done is shown that 99% of all games sell better on the 360 (even with piracy) and that the exclusives for the 360 are selling well.
