That was faster than I expected. Now, I'm going to be clear, just to try to be fair: I'm a huge fan of Nintendo handhelds, and I think Sony doesnt get how to do it right, so I'm not buying a Vita until it has good games for it (exclusive for it, that's it. No PS3 games in a small screen). But, still, I'm not buying a 3DS, there's still not enough games for it. Zelda, SF IV and that's all.

well, I was seeing the videos for battlefield 3 and modern warfare 3 and it seems like a modern Maze War with dialog and cutscenes.

As long is a game, it shouldn't be a problem. The prize is for the Game Of The Year, not the Game On A Disc Of The Year. And then, what about those people who download games like COD and Battlefield troguh Steam? Those games doesnt count?
Was Layton a good example? I mean, I know the puzzles are short (except if you get stucked in one), but they're not always simple, and the first gameplay (without 100%) can give you 10 hours+. After finishing it, you can go back, search the puzzles you lost, open the secrets, solve the extra puzzles (waaaay harder than the normal ones), and then, download the weekly puzzles. Layton isn't a short game, just have a short... ammm.. gameplay? I dont know how to say it.
