Somebody who is buying a Playstation and hates Microsoft watches a video on Youtube and forms an opinion.
Meanwhile, somebody who works for a gaming website gets a hands-on demo, and forms an opinion.
Who do you trust? Journalists or detractors?
The answer: neither. They are both full of you-know-what. I'm going to try this game before I dismiss it.
You and me both, brannagin!
Yeah, but Sony would be absolutely insane not to drop the cash, even if it is ridiculously expensive. That would be a major selling point for the huge mass of COD players.
Who knows, maybe they will go buy server space from MS? :D
Yep... no kidding...
But these are launch titles. As the cycle progresses, more and more Singleplayer games will be making use of online features. As of now, all the major upcoming titles have online directly incorporated into the single player experience.
Deny it all you want, that's where this generation is heading, and XB1 is ready.
Forza... Drivatars and AI
Titanfalll... everything. Cloud processing, servers... its an online game.
Count on a majority of MS titles to function this way as the consoles life-cycle progresses.
"Xbox.... ON!"
ehehehehehehehheheheheheheheh e
Cool... will buy on XB1.
waiting for all the PS4 "I hate PC elitist" people to come in and pretend they have nice gaming rigs.
Me too, and I'm going to say this as I have been all along... nothing has changed.
Sure, you can unplug your Kinect... that should appease the paranoid crowd.
Sure, you can unplug your ethernet cable.... Single player gamers and multiplatform developers will certainly be happy.
sure, Indies can self-publish... oh, and did I mention we get a headset?
But, at the end of the day, Kinect is integral, and an internet connectio...
All that matters to me is the console and the games.
I'm not even remotely concerned about privacy.
:)
Have a bubble, golding! I have a feeling N4G doesn't like Xbox enthusiasts making first posts... ;)
I love how it remembers the persons voice, and can activate their individual settings by voice-activation, even if there is 6 people logged in.
This this is a beast.
This guy, "Nate Fox", is in Sony's back pocket. Everything he says reeks of PR.
I could never wrap my head around the analogue layout. My fingers always slip off. the Xbox360 controller is my darling.
Tomato, Tomato...
It's a videogame. A videogame they are only asking me 20 dollars to get 7 characters, a suite of maps, online and offline competitive...
And you all complain?
I don't understand the world anymore.
"Any other characters have to be bought with real money, meaning that if you wanted an actual fully featured fighter to play, you’ll still have to fork over a reasonable amount of dough"
Paying money.... for a videogame? What is the world coming to?
@4me2
Absolutely not! I don't think anybody can deny that MS has been making a lot of changes, many of them reactionary. But the real question is... does it matter? Mistakes were made, and then rectified.
None of this has any impact on my ability to play and enjoy the games I love on the console that I choose, and therein lies the difference.
To some people, it matters on principal. To me, it's Christmas eve. Nothing can shake my anti...
Well, I certainly don't want to be raped in a federal prison...
Or do I? 😉
@demonddel
I always think the same thing about Sony, shoveling free games at people to supplement a sub-par online service.
@Swanky
"virtually free" "basically free" "essentially free" "practically free".... don't tell me you're purposefully misrepresenting/misunderstandi ng a very common turn of phrase. Why would you do that? :p
It means that they are so cheap that the next-be...
Just in time for lunch for EST :D
Man I want a launch date... or a new AAA game... whatevers clever!
I'll reserve judgement until I can give it a try.
But I refuse to be a meaningless detractor.
It could very well happen... but I don't know if Sony would be willing to swallow their pride.
Would be smart, considering...
