There's no doubt Activision has a bad rep, but the games coming out of it aren't too bad. Mostly.

Clearly Cryptic thinks any penalty = no fun. Not sure myself. Good for casual players, hardcore don't like it.

Considering the large differences in the games, I think there will be a core number of players who stay on with GW1.
Yup, quite happily handing over cash for all the DLC for mass effect 2 right now. Keep it coming bioware.
I doubt they'd put a load of resources into making something that was essentially player housing. Having said that, there are large areas of the game that are instances for one person, the patrol missions for instance. I suppose having an explorable ship isn't a lot different.

It's hardly just cosmetic, these things give very nice bonuses, like the Golden Guns mentioned above. The Bradygames guide isn't bad either.
No game is going to challenge WoW until SWTOR I reckon.
Shame there's no romance options in this one, it was almost like a mini-game, getting those reps up.
