I'm really disappointed with this generations Box art, all of it looks like a catchy action movie poster, so mainstream and hip which can be okay but I like the arsy ones better.

Rented it eh? I've been playing the game for sometime now, whenever you can afford it I suggest buying it.
To be fair that's still alot of money to the general consumer, we're on the same level I'm a huge PC gamer but to the general population that's not very expendable. Consoles make sense, but if you want the best of the best, you buy it on PC.
Pretty sweet graphics card by the way, that's another point, people see $500 graphics card and the get scared, but don't realize that a card like that can last you roughly 6-7 years.
Well, just because you don't like PC gaming doesn't mean there aren't alot of people playing every day. I play on the PC every day because it offers accessibility to games that consoles don't provide, I still use my PS3 more than my PC though.
I disagree, it's like going to a large theatre to watch a 3D movie. I have a high-end rig and I'm going to be upgrading it in the summer to play Left4Dead in 3D. The new technology for 3D looks awesome and promising, of course improvements will come over time and eventually unassisted 3D will develop, but for now I'm definitely going to enjoy myself.

The original one was a classic but I definitely don't see alot of people buying and playing this game competitively unless it changed drastically from the original.
The original is a big waiting game, you have to have a tonne of patience and alot of time invested in learning all the vehicles and techniques, it's not a pick up and play game and I think the majority of people who haven't played the first are missing that point.

True, however Capcom did say so themselves this is the year of multi-platform gaming and seeing how Dead Rising 2 is now multi-platform, Lost Planet 2 is a guarantee to appear on all major systems, I wouldn't be surprised if it debuted on Wii.

I understand your angle, however DLC has replaced secrets and unlockable items in the last couple years alone, that's my only real discrepancy. Too add to that, the MSRP for Street Fighter 4 was 69.99 which in Canada adds to 79.08, that's alot of money for one game and people expect alot of game for that money.
Uncharted is a power house, the animations are some of the best in video games period.
This is a very fair comparison and yes I do believe Uncharted does look better than Gears of War 1&2.
