I know I don't see a point to it; I own a Wii and it is pretty mini compared with other consoles as is.
Another example of people wanting a company to cater to them. There is Sony and Microsoft folks! If Nintendo isn't releasing software, just go elsewhere.

Indeed, too many people are very impatient when it comes to sales numbers. I remember those 3DS doom and gloom articles and looking back, it's pretty funny how folks were counting down to doomsday and being proven wrong.
Of course, usually with Q1 sales, things are going to be a tad bit soft with gaming sales.

This debate is no different than when they painted comic books as a source of juvenile delinquency or certain types of music as an inspiration for teenage suicide. It is passing the buck onto popular culture and the more they do so, the more transparent are their attempts at avoiding the real issue.
