And i would like to meet people not on your buddy list and start a multiplayer game launch event which you can do in home. Which would also be considered playing a game.
So you've seen some viable and incredibly wonderful homebrew for the ps3 so far right? I mean these people are defending their product and their jobs. It's their money they're worried about and they have a right to be. wouldn't you?
So i ask again, you've seen a lot of homebrew come out of this right? MORE SO than piracy? Oh and the lost sales on software is no mere assumption my friend, it's very real. Google.
Even if people do, i think ps3 users care about the experience they have on their ps3 platform. Look what piracy and hacking has done in the past for other platforms. Resetting of leader boards, mass bans, online multilayer, etc. etc.
And can you prove that sales are not affected in the slightest by piracy? I mean the PSP has awesome hardware sales sometimes so shouldn't the software receive such a substantial growth at those times as well?
IF we're not paying for our games then THEY who make the games will not earn money and THEY won't make any more games or any quality games and WE are S.O.L. Look at the psp, companies like S-E have stated that they are weary of developing for the psp because of piracy.
PSN experience can also be compromised, thus ruining the experience for gamers who abide by the rules and regulations.
Are you stupid? Major companies like Sony make charity donations all the time. Sometimes it's the heads of the companies that do it in their name or in their company's name.
It's not just sony, other companies such as microsoft, nintendo, apple, law firms, food chains, blah blah blah, all fund or make a donation in some other form to charities and non profit organizations (usually yearly). Sony is more than a game company and maybe ...
I wouldn't give the guy any money at all. Even if it was in good intention. Just like how his hack wasn't done for piracy it none the less helped it grow for various devices.
