I got it for a huge discount so I felt like I got my money's worth but if I had bought it at launch I would have been pissed at the quick cash grab it turned out to be. A remake should be the definitive version of a game not a rushed version which cuts corners.

Why are people so against people appreciating another culture so much that they want to emulate aspects of it in their art? We are all humans and this is how we grow. Imagine if Italy out of respect for Chinese culture never integrated pasta (A Chinese invention) into their cuisine. The world would be poorer for it.

But then games are designed around the idea of constantly selling you shit and for me that's not fun. I don't want to be browsing a shopping catalog I want to be having fun. The consumerism being shoved into every corner of game design kills the vibe for me. If the big money in gaming is mtcs then things like basic game design and amazing single player complete experiences take a back seat to that and there are fewer games to play and more casinos to visit.
