I dont think fail is the right word, it will initially sell well when the hardcore fanboys rush out to buy it, which at that time we will get article after article here about how amazing its doing, how it will "possibly beat Sony" and all the usual hyperbole, and then sales will taper off and it will sell slowly over time. It wont fail but it wont be a success either.
