"Microsoft is Starting to Show Its Hand. So When Will Sony Do the Same?"

So, what your saying is Microsoft blinked......Sony has got this one in the bag....AGAIN.

10-4 there are always short sighted people out there that have this fairytale opinion that all the console companies getting together and making one console will be somehow great....when anybody with a brain the their head knows that it would be an unmitigated disaster for the consumer, with skyrocketing prices for mediocre hardware that would see console generations last for twice as long and over priced trash games filled with microtransactions for everything, because, where are you going t...

Yeah...no. Sony and Microsoft "making a console together" would be the WORST thing to ever happen to the gaming consumer. I WANT them to be discrete, independent competitors. that is the healthiest way for both of them to innovate and keep prices down. And I'm not talking fanboy console war trash, I mean Business competitors in the same space vying for the gaming consumers dollars.

MS is Great when it comes to making grand promises and being loud but, when it comes to ACTUALLY delivering, all they do is cough and awkwardly tug on their collective collars.

you can download an app for your phone that reads your heart rate by pressing the tip of your finger on the camera of your phone, so I don't think it would be all that expensive. a lot of the sensors they are talking about you can find on just about any cheap android phone. We really have to thank the proliferation of the touch screen cell phone for making all these sensors commodity items.

well, Nintendo is a successful company that it's customers love, That alone makes it a target to be destroyed by the PC crowd.

I agree, but with one caveat, If they let it die and not try do fix it for the people that bought it, then they should die as a developer, Because, they definitely shouldn't be given a pass to kill this game and walk away without supporting the people that have paid for it. support your customers or die. Screw the people that want it to die with the fleeting pathetic hope of them making another "mass effect".

I'm sorry, but, I will ALWAYS side with the cu...

Septic is right, Microsoft has got Sony on the run, Sony has been running so fast that they win the race almost every generation.

HAHA, that is the difference between MS and Sony/Nintendo corporate culture, Microsoft is the LOUDEST when they have nothing, they regale everyone with tales of cloud computing and secret sauce meant to tickle the ears...typical of a braggart. Sony and Nintendo, on the other hand keep quiet and build anticipation with their customers, future and present. You know from the past that they will not disappoint with hollow statements and promises of amazing technology that turns out to be as gossa...

Yeah, Xbox will "leave PlayStation behind" like Microsoft left Cell phone OS's behind......

"You don’t just abandon your customers and upend them. You bring them with you over time. " -Kumakai

WHAT!?!?!?! That is EXACTLY WHAT Microsoft does! They are notorious for releasing a new console or product and abandoning everything that came before it. I think your mixing up MS with Sony......

I, frankly am not a fan of Microsoft in general Just From their consistent past of entering an industry, trying to destroy the incumbents rather than compete and then buying out every other possible competition till they are the only one standing....and that wouldn't be as bad as what they do after they become the "only game in town" They attack the customer as potential thieves, drop quality (hardware and software) and raise prices considerably. As long as there is a STRONG ind...

10-4 I would love to have at least PS3, there are a ton of games that I would love to play over as well as missed out on.

I agree, and on a similar point, Microsoft getting all consumer friendly is a complete farce, If they weren't pushed into a corner by the two incumbent Players in this sector they would have destroyed console gaming, remade it into a nightmare where they would have sucked the value out of every game, put restrictions of when, how and who could play them....Anything that MS does that is even REMOTELY "consumer friendly" is just a time release poison pill.

"brand Loyalty" to me is a company consistently giving me a quality product and a high ROI at a reasonable price, The moment that those 3 things are not met, my "loyalty" disappears. Frankly, Sony has been hitting it out of the park for a very long time, Microsoft...not so much...But, I think it all comes down to corporate culture and philosophy. Microsoft still hasn't learned that they don't have the leverage in the gaming console space that they do in general PC...
