I think we were all fed up with all that crap we had to read on the net on mostly American websites about Sony 'being doomed' or 'selling bad' or whatever while PS3 sold more than 360 from launch on the same time frame...
PS3 was twice as expansive, of course it couldn't sell 100 million consoles... You had to wait for the price cut.

KZ2 is highly successful by the way and it got 92 % on metacritic.
Number of 360 full games in 2009 who got 90+ on metacritic : zero.
