"...and it was good." Wow, I've been waiting for what seems like forever to get my hands on this demo! I'm blown away. I musta played through around six or seven times already. Sure the action is a little repetitive, but keep in mind, this is about five minutes worth of action. They've already showed and talked about in numerous videos and interviews that there will be various mission structures (like defending a base with a cannon) and a second playable character, Kai, that acts ve...
Halo: point, shoot, point, 'nade.
Madden: Pass, run, pass, tackle.
Gran Turismo: Turn, brake, turn, gas.
See? I can do that, too.
If you were trying to make a point, you failed.
This game definitely makes me wanna get back into card collecting/gaming again. Plus, the fact that it's bundled with the PlayStation Eye is a big plus. If they put a good price on the bundle, I'll be sure to pick this one up. The only thing that's gonna suck is buying those booster packs.... Sony (or whoever), please go easy on pricing them....
Dual-layer HD DVD = 30 GB max. Dual-layer Blu-ray Disc = 50 GB max. That's all I needed to hear when I chose sides.
Fizzled? Fo'rizzle? It may not of sold a lot of copies, but I sure as heck picked it up on day one. In my book, selling even a SINGLE copy of a game that's pretty much the third iteration of a game that came out years ago is a success. But I digress.... In all seriousness, Lair looks amazing, and with an excellent review already from Play magazine, the skies look bright for PS3-owners. Bright, dragon-filled skies.
Geeze, they get everything! Why not just give them a multiplayer Beta for Metal Gear Online!
...
D'oh!
Not. I definitely don't see myself buying this one any time soon. I'm a gamer. What makes Nintendo think I wanna get off my ass? Bad enough I have to flail around....
I've been wondering this, too. I'm a big Resident Evil fan, but I've played some pretty shallow rail-shooters before (Time Crisis 3 was the perfect example of how an arcade shooter should be ported to a console). And don't even get me started on Resident Evil: Survivor.... Umbrella Chronicles looks pretty enough, though, and it does sound pretty fun to tackle cooperatively. I'm probably gonna have to wait for some reviews before I drop another $50 on this one.
After recently finding out that once Samus Aran performs her Final Smash, her suit falls apart and she becomes Zero Suit Samus, I wonder if this means you will only be able to play as Zero Suit Samus in the previously mentioned manner, or if she'll be selectable from the character select menu?
Well, apparently you missed my point. The point I was trying to convey is that it's a little ironic that Microsoft is bragging about their three-year warranty when the whole reason it's in place is because their consoles seemingly break themselves. Let's not forget, the Xbox 360 started out with a 90-day manufacturer warranty, yet the problem was there from the start. Now, if Microsoft would have put a three-year warranty on a console that had a failure rate of 1% rather than 33%, that'd be s...
Three-year warranty: sure, advantage. Suicidal consoles: not so much.
Ice Climbers, anyone? This stage looks very reminiscent of Ice Climber stage in Melee. I wonder if Nana and Popo will make a return appearance in Brawl?
It was interesting to read how the "background and foreground" movement is being handled. I was wondering exactly how it worked ever since I saw its first demonstration.
Heavenly Sword is the only one that has been announced, and considering its magnitude, it'll probably be the only one. However, there's a supposed Lair demo waiting for release on the PSN as well, and with Lair's actual launch just a few weeks away, there's a chance we'll be riding some demo-sized dragons in the near future.
G4tv.com just updated the article, stating that it turned out to be complete baloney. Pfft, I'm getting pretty sick of all this "fake" news. First Heavenly Sword multiplayer, now this! My fragile gamer heart can't take much more.
"...Devil May Cry 4 will be seeing a late January, early February release due to Capcom having difficulty in the Xbox 360 development." Hmm, it's usually developers having trouble with the PS3.... I guess since this started as a PS3 exclusive, they're having some complications porting it over. Sigh, like it would kill Capcom to make it a PS3 timed-exclusive, but no, they have to be stubborn and have a "simultaneous release." Way to go, Xbox 360; first you have to mooch DMC...
I'm happy with my classic white one. I wish Nintendo would pump out some more DECENT DS games a little faster -- I haven't touched it in ages. I'm looking forward to playing Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, but they're all still a ways off.
After reading that it would hit the UK store this Thursday, I'd been fretting over the "all territories" dilemma all day at work. It's a load off my mind to come home and get to read this. Now, the new problem is... how am I gonna wait until Thursday?
Personally, I cannot wait for this game. I don't feel that $200 is an outrageous price considering what comes bundled with the game. Anyone who loves Guitar Hero knows that it's an expensive habit (heck, Guitar Hero Encore is still launching at $49.99) but one that's hard to kick. I've already got a $50 deposit down on this baby at work -- I'll be picking it up on day one.
After playing it, that itch is only gonna get worse!
