@pippopow,
I agree with you dude, respect goes in both ways. Honestly, listening to Morgan and Adam...hell, might as well the entire G4"Fail"TV.com crew is like reading the 360 trolls' comments in this site.
On the same note, it's funny how Sessler never mentioned anything about his show's disparaging comments about the PS3 owners and their so-called "anti-depressants".
@ldubz,
First of all, what qualifies as "broken" in your definition? If knifing people left and right as you stated is "broken", then why can't lag and other problems that plague Gears of War 2 (i.e., glitches and match problems) be "broken" also? If you think they're NOT "broken", which I believe is your OPINION, then reviewers' observations are just as OPINIONS too! See what I did there?
Anyway, why does it even matter if m...
Why?
Because it's so damn funny!
Reason #1: More weapon variety!
Expect this guy to cry and whine that the next COD: MODERN Warfare 2 didn't have Star Wars-style laser blaster and lightsabers.
Reason #2: The four-Squad!
Expect this guy to cry and whine that the next Brothers in Arms (the series came before Gears) have a four or more people in a squad.
Reason #3: The color palette!
Expect this guy to cry and whine that g...
@adro,
Yes, I agree with you about swearing! Also, having someone's head blown-off by a .50 cal sniper rifle ISN'T classy in a videogame as it is too vulgar, though it happens in real life. War-themed videogames should also start incorporating more Barney songs and a litte more Mr. Rogers look-alikes in order to get a perfect 10, AAA reviews!!
So, yeah, I totally agree with you!
Leave Donger alone. Feel confident that he'll the first, and ONLY guy to camp outside of Xboxstop...er, Gamestop, for the first-day release of Barney: The Purple Dinosaur Adventure!!
I'm not a big fan of Gamespot, but the title is misleading as nowhere in the article, let alone from Gamespot, said "trust no one in KZ2 reviews". In short, the article reeks of flamebait.
Still, I would have to agree with some of the commenters out here as Gamespot's "reliability and perceived opinion partiality" is no different than other gamesite, some of which are "a-little-too-obvious&quo t; fanboy sites.
Let me tell you this:
The article said something mature to discuss about the reviewing process of Killzone 2 and comparing it to other reviews of critically acclaimed games. You guys complain about PS3 fanboys (and anyone supporting Sony, fanboys or not) "lacking" maturity and logic.
Well, the author of the article gave something reasonable,logical, and mature, right? Instead of giving mature rebuttals to the author, you 360 fanboys resort to "WAAAH....
@ldubbz,
Sorry, but you seem to be contradicting yourself and even hypocritical:
People who complain about Gears 2 are people who ACTUALLY OWN the damn game and have played countless hours with the online mode. An example would be my friends who told me about it. Great single player...but the online suck. You, on the other hand, HAVEN'T played the damn game yet and already spouting BS to pass a fact!!
So, if you were to believe the "second-hand&q...
What do I feel now?
SCREW THE SCORES...I CAN'T WAIT FOR KZ2!! YEEEEHHHHHAAAAAHHH!!
"The story? The story is light, but not so light as to be distracting. There are no love interests. No hidden sub-plot. But in real war there rarely is. So I can overlook that. And what the game seems to be saying about modern warfare, about the complexity of morality in a fight, is grist for thought. I'd even argue that Killzone 2 drew some of its deeper, more subtle meaning from what's currently going on in our world."
Granted, I'm not a big fan of the Kotaku and I so...
ENJOY THE GAME!!
(while you eat pepperoni pizza and Doritos)
@tplarkin,
Yeah...Halo is a combination of pseudo-Power Rangers, pseudo-Aliens, and pseudo-Starship Troopers.
COD4 was NEVER a Halo Killer...
The glorious 360 exclusive Red Ring of Death was...and still is, the Halo Killer!
Great...some fanboy-made website trying to conspire in bringing the Metacritic average score down.
Funny thing is, the 360 fanboys will be complaining when someone posts a 360 game review from SDF site (run by 360 fanboys BTW).
Off topic:
Harry...how did you get your bubbles reduced to two?!?
@morganfell,
You know what they say..."Desperate times call for desperate meaures"! ;)
True enough...but if we get even close to 2 million sales it will make the nay-sayers shut their bung holes and go on a frenzy to find another "reason" to discredit the PS3.
That would be cool, but use a different "angry Hitler" scene aside from that Downfall movie. The Downfall movie's "angry Hitler" scene was over-used to death a long time, so using the same scene wouldn't have the same effect as it had before
Now that said, though I liked the ad, I wished they made the commercial more like the Superbowl commerial of the Gladiator movie where parts of the gameplay are mixed with actual footage of football players violently colliding with each other. That (as greatly suggested by one N4G member in here not too long ago) and add the "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" song by Drowning Pool.
Whooops...looks like the 360 will commit "hara-kiri" soon!
