I think they should do whatever works best. If a controller suits some games then all means use it. Limitations are only for the satisfaction of nerd police, which really guys, no one cares.
A fps could be great on kinect if done right, or really awkward, I dont think its the strong suit for the controller type but of course if people clamor for it, it will come.

Hope it goes ok, i wouldnt mind using a controller in conjunction with kinect tho, for a trigger if nothing else. Kinect for pointing and melee attacks and maybe some other stuff.
Walking/running could go either way, either button or foot forward would be fine. I guess foot forward is more immersive tho (wide stance = run?)

For you second point I believe the want to involve force powers, etc which would involve a lot of arm motions and gesturing. Also kinect has sold a lot more and lucas likes going where the money is.

As a kinect owner I still dont really understand this game or why I would want to play this with a kinect vs a mouse or other controller. I'd like games where I actually use my limbs in first person, or at least something that cant be replicated just as well or better with a controller.

I can see many ways you could make a kinect game without it being on rails (ie put leg forward to move forward, point hand to look around). Imagination is the limit here.

If you dont see innovation all around in the news with the great hacks etc. its obvious your mind is closed. You really cant convince a person like that so theres no point tryin is what they are saying, especially on the 'net.
Eyetoy was a big fail, and it didnt have any real body tracking aside from from 2d gimickery. This is a huge step up. If you argue this then you're a person that cant be reasoned with and a complete waste of time.
Cant wait to see what the future brings for this. Already the hacks are showing massive promise for very cool and varied gameplays!
It will be late in the year before any big titles come out, they've said it elsewhere. I disagree with saying nothing good is out, yourshape and sports are great titles, enough to wear me out! If they had any more good titles I probably would have trouble getting up in the morning. lol.
I've read elsewhere that it will be end of 2011, before kinect will have appeal with core gamers. Thankfully I am casual with regards to the kinect (hardcore much better on PC thankyou), but I am still curious for sure.
It would be kind of cool to cast spells or use force powers with gestures from my hands/arms and fight with sword/lightsaber, including the odd roundhouse kick heh.
