That is actually pretty good we in NZ get it for $749.00 which is still cheaper than what the xbox 360 retailed for when it first launched with only a 20GB HDD one controller and a headset.
I think the X1 going for less at launch is friggen awesome news. Though some of you others crack me up when you moan about $499.00 lmfao man we downunder so wish it was going that cheap.
Still the price it is makes it very competitive at least for us....interesting to see...

I have been a fan of the xbox since day one, BUT what has me so outraged is the inability to support ones digital library making it pretty much worthless OR forcing me to hold onto my old X360.
They have shot themselves in the foot with this one and their short sightedness may put people off buying from services like Games on Demand or from the Arcade marketplace. It's not like I can trade these in or sell them privately secondhand.

People have forgot the power of the cloud and the investment that MS are putting into setting up 330,000 servers globally. So for the X1 processing power could be increased using the cloud, developers can offload some of their computations to the cloud. Apps and even parts of the OS could be placed in the cloud. IMO I dont think that the 3GB RAM requirement for the X1 is completely correct. This would be dependant on what parts of the OS etc are stored and run locally from the console. <...

To get the hype train steaming along, Aaron Greenberg has teased “tons of exclusives” and “world premieres” for Microsoft’s E3 conference, stating the presentation will be “all about the games.”
The 21st/22nd depending on where in the world you are is all about the console, illumiroom, Kinect 2.0 and maybe apps....the games might be teased in a sizzle roll but MS are saving the game reveals for E3.

@ Cloud495 yeah bud but the good news is that it is actually cheaper than the X360 at launch I brought mine day one for $780.00 granted It came with Perfect Dark Zero and Call of Duty 2 still it was also a 20GB HDD model with one controller and a headset nothing else....I had to spend extra and get another controller and 2 recharge kits.... So I'm actually very happy with the price was expecting somewhere closer to the PS3 launch price of $900.00.
