If you have an old CRT then no the PS4 nor the X1 for that matter support these aging dinosaurs.
If you are talking an HD ready set that at least supports HDMI then yeah they will look ok
Though if you mean a Plasma, LCD or LED that has come out in the last 2 -3 years then yeah they will look awesome on the PS4 and the X1.

I'm waiting for the X1 to support external HDD's once this happens then I am going to score me a 2TB HDD and go full digital from that day forward.
While we are limited to our 500GB internal HDD then it will full up far to quick for it to be worthwhile going full digital straight out of the box.

I didn't imply you said that it would impeded ones ability to play games, I was trying to make a point.

Only one Gold account is required per every xbox 1 the rest reap the benefits right across the board for free.
So yes you are correct, there is a paywall but ONLY for one persons account to be Gold not for every profile that exists on an X1 to have to be Gold to enjoy the benefits.
