This summer is a bit crazy for the XBL arcade. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, will be Day 1 for me. I loved playing the originals, and it isn't necessarily and HD overhaul since they are using a new engine for the graphics.

You'd be surprised at the quality of many download only titles. Play Braid, Limbo, Trials, Ms. Splosion Man, etc. Many of these games are better than a lot of retail games you play.
If you want to continue that storyline, Glasslands picks up straight after Ghosts of Onyx. That's a pretty good book, talks about state of the Halo universe after Halo 3.
But I highly recommend reading Cryptum and Primordium, they focus on the Forerunner story. A lot of stuff is explained that I never knew and shed some light on things we may see in halo 4. The books start out a bit slow, but get very interesting the further you get.
They did mention something about "groups" in one of the slides, so that may be a good sign.
As for ranking I agree with you, Halo 3 had some problems with ranking glitches and stuff but I'm hoping for something similar. You can actually see how good a player someone is by looking at their ranks rather than using a progression system.
It kind of still is because those enemies aren't real Prometheans. Prometheans are the warrior class of Forerunners, organics, which these enemies are not. They are Forerunner AIs being controlled by somebody. I'm just confused as to why they decided to call these guys Promtheans.
So its still a mystery as to who is controlling these AIs, I have my ideas as to who it is. If you read the Forerunner books you may also get some ideas.
The first season free is pretty great in my opinion. I mean they are putting a lot of resources into Spartan Ops, it will be very story driven and focus on the Spartan 4's after Halo 4's story. It may even bridge the gap between 4 and 5.
Having the first season free and charging later on is kind of what was expecting. As long as its good and story is well thought out, I wouldn't mind paying for it.
It would be extremely stupid of them to announce a legendary edition at this point. People including myself have already pre-ordered the limited edition, announcing a legendary edition will just cause more confusion and make people change up their pre-orders.
A limited edition console may be more likely. If so, it will probably have some sort of Forerunner influenced look.
If you've read the books you'd know why the "covenant" is still a threat and why they have a presence in this game. I'd love to see some three way fights, Gears 3 also did it very well.
I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a Halo, not sure if its spoiler but you can see one when demos were being shown off in the title screen. But they have a very large part in the story of Forerunners so I would understand why they will be included in the game.

Yeah, but it wasn't like a true paramore thing, you were still able to go with Ashley, Liara and Tali. Wheras if you were to get with one of those three you were unable to get with the other two.

So you could romance Miranda? What's an epic fail? All there was for Miranda from what I can remember is a scene in the Citadel, but you were still able to get with the other three.
Totally agree, the game was great. People were basically making it seem like the ending was so bad that the entire game wasn't wort playing. Oh well, sucks to be them and miss out on such an epic series.
You couldn't really romance Miranda in #3 I think. That was just like a side thing lol. The main romances were Tali, Ashley and Liara. Not sure of the other side.
I was satisfied with the ending, the fixed up some plot holes and really explained what happened as a result of Shepard's decision. The decisions were much better explained this time. Also a couple nice, emotional moments were added in.
Much better than the original, but then again I wasn't one of the people who "hated" the original ending either.
After seeing actual gameplay for the multiplayer I can't wait for this game. When we first heard about the multiplayer I was a bit frightened about the changes, but seeing it in action has showed I was wrong. It just looks fun, the BR looks awesome, the graphics are a huge step up as well.
Campaign however, I was never really worried about. 343 knows the fiction and reading the recent books have gave me confidence in the story.

Frankie said there is something wrong when videos are uploaded of gameplay, the sound isnt accurate to what it sounds when you're actually there. Ive heard and read about how amazing the game sounds from people who've played the game.
I don't know if you're serious or not, in case you are, that is not a retail version, game still has a few months of development.
You will find out why they aren't organic if you read the books. But you should definitely read them, great books. Start slow but are very interesting reads.
