Like I said, I am a fan so I hope it works out great. I'll be buying it regardless, mainly because of campaign since that has been the main draw for me since the first game. Of course I'll play multiplayer, change is good, but they need to be careful with the amount of changes as well.
From what I've read, these are personal ordnance drops, you won't get to choose what drops in team games apparently. I think personal ordnance drops are only for free for all gametypes. In team games, ordnance drops would happen I guess by time intervals and you don't choose what drops and where it drops.
On one hand I'm really excited to hear about the enemy, on the other hand I like the mystery of not knowing.
The thing is when you factor in so many different elements, ie loadouts, armor abilities, modifications....I think that lessens the importance of actual gunplay skill.
Sure, the movement speed and jump is more similar to Halo 3, but everything else is the complete opposite. I'm not hating on the game, I am still looking forward to it and cant wait to see it in action, its just that all these unnecessary additions makes me wonder about the direction multiplayer is taking....
Yeah, as a loyal fan of Halo I am a bit worried after seeing these pictures. A perk allowing two primary weapons, autoturrets, regen field, apparently you can spawn with shotgun. What the hell is going on here? Halo multiplayer as we know it is gone from the looks of it. I will wait until after e3 to make conclusions on the game, but so far it doesn't look good for the competitive side of Halo players.
You can barely tell anything about the game with these pics aside from knowing there will be a snow map. This does look like some sort of territories game type, and what looks like a shield being used. If it is a shield, its better than armor lock since the back of a person will still be vulnerable. Just a week or so left.

Yeah, it follows a certain squad, Majestic Squad if I recall correctly. Every week a new mission will be put out with a cutscene to accompany it to move the story forward. It doesn't cost extra money either, so its not paid DLC, comes with the game when you buy it. It could be very interesting since it will somehow interact with Master Chief's storyline.
Spartan Ops will have its own story and CG cutscenes will be used to help move that story forward. Not only that, Spartan Ops will somehow interact with Master Chief's storyline. It may actually be a bit similar to spec ops in that there will be missions with objectives. But this will actually have a story with 4 Player Co-op. They chose a pretty dumb name for it though.
Microsoft's Press Conference is in the morning, Spartan Ops will be shown later that night. So campaign will be the first gameplay you see, if you don't count multiplayer that is.
Its a little too late in the 360s lifecycle that they work on huge new exclusive IPs. Those will probably be saved for their next console, which will most likely release next year.
And yes a lot of people are excited for Halo 4, including me.

Reach lol, try doing halo 1 on legendary. I don't mean to brag, but I've completed each Halo game on legendary solo, except Halo wars. I usually do my first run on heroic, and then go through a second time on legendary.
