Didn't Australia have that promotion where Sony gave away PS3's (for free) with the purchase of Sony Bravia TV's at one point? I think Sony gave away over 20,000 consoles during that period.

No that promotion lasted from '08-'09 as far...
Cool story bro.
Weren't those "estimates" supplied by a market research firm?
As if you were planning to buy one in the first place. Trolol.
@brettyd below:
Relevance? That doesn't change anything lol.
What I meant was how is this particular article related to gaming. This site is N(ews)4G(amers) not C(orp)F(inance)4G(amers). If there were some sort of analyses of how this may affect SCE now or in the future I think it would be more relevant, otherwise it's just global business related.
How is this related to gaming?
lol
Except the 360 is far more successful than the original Xbox was. MS have also stated that they will support the 360 "a day longer than the PS3" [1].

Stop kidding yourself. We all know Sony blatantly copied Nintendo's SSBB.
No. Nintendo has re-established itself and MS have solidified the Xbox as true competition. Sony has lost more this generation than they have gained, both in terms of market share and financially.
What? Are you being serious?
lol, a badly optimized game can "squeeze every last drop of power" from the PS3 and look no better than a PSone game. Sony's PR this generation has be laughable.
Sony's most graphically impressive games are ALL linear, I wonder why...
Phil Harrison leaving Sony for Atari and then Microsoft was more noteworthy, but good luck to George Andreas (the guy no one has heard of until today).
I think the list of "What Sony did right this generation" would be a better discussion, as the list would be far smaller and more subjective.
lol only on N4G.
You do realize that Remedy approached both MS and Sony hoping one company would help fund or publish Alan Wake? Sony said no (obviously) and MS said yes. Yet using your twisted fanboy logic, MS are the bad guys? LMAO!
When did Sony buy Symantec?
For a big company like Sony that was once worth $200 billion and is now worth about $20 billion, every penny counts.
LOL!
-Essentially "Milking" Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet IP.
-Causing some Media Molecule developers/employees to leave including the lead coder of lbp's core component "user-creation".

Aren't Konami suppose to be moving their European HQ to the U.K this year though or did they change their mind?
"Konami will merge its European operations and form a new UK HQ, leaving its base in Germany.
It is a part of a significant overhaul of the firm's European operations, which sees the Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH merge with Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. The firm will operate under the B.V. structure.
The move wi...
