That means that they're losing almost $100 million on hardware at launch with 400,000 systems (It's even more than this, as they're losing more than $300 on the lower-end bundle). That's not a little, even for a company is big as Sony. I still hope they survive just for competition's sake. Competition means more good games for everyone.

P.S. Does anyone smell bull****?
$599-$499 = $100 difference.
$840-$805 = $35 difference.
So you're basically payi...

They will catch up on supply soon. And they will sell more than the 360 very soon after they do. An installed fanbase is the best thing anyone can have going for them at this point, and I have a feeling it will be the deciding factor in this generation of consoles. Nintendo has some installed fanbase, Microsoft has a little more, but Sony has millions upon millions of people who are willing to buy their hardware just because of eleven shiny silver letters. They had a hugely successful product...

Same. Why would I go buy a PS3 at launch when I can play any multi-system game better and more smoothly on the 360? Not to mention the exclusives, which the PS3 seems rather light on right now.

I do hate Sony, because I think their company is one of the most slimy, filthy, ridiculously misleading companies out there right now, but I can admit that they know what they are doing. If the PS3 ever gets enough must-play titles that I can't experience on the 360, I might consider buying ...

Looks like Helm's Deep. Even has a "blow-upable" gate. But why would you put a ladder on the outer wall?

I think it's probably true that there will be more PS3 owners, but I don't see why people love Sony so much. All they do is act like a bunch of jerkoffs to all their competitors and make themselves look extremely stupid on a regular basis.
The PS3 is just more of the same **** games, and because you lot keep buying it, that's all you're likely to get for your "true next-gen" console. I never liked the game library for the PS2, and so far I see nothing worth $600 on the ...

Exactly. 1 billion VERTICES/second = 333 million polys/second. 333 million < 500 million.

Haha, for me, ANY x360 game is above Metal Gear (yes, that includes even Full Auto).

But you still have to ask yourself; there have been so many of these games, are people playing them and waiting for them now just because everyone else likes them?

One example that comes to mind is a film a watched the other day. Everyone always told me that 2001: A Space Odyssey was the best film of all time, so I finally decided to watch it. I found out that it was, in fact, a steaming pile of $%@#. I'm convinced that people love that movie because everyone else does (particu...

I have had what sounds like the same problem, but I didn't really think it was a connection problem... If I joined a game that was close to full it would tell me that I "lost connection to host," but I just assumed that the game had filled up between refresh and join.

One weird problem I had was that last night I joined a game and I could hear the other team the whole time! With that, and the fact that me and a buddy were in the same room to communicate, we won the ma...

I have a 42" Samsung LCD, and it's not too dark. COD3 has been pretty dark, but Gears seems pretty good as far as I'm concerned. I've never had trouble seeing anything; even when it is a dark area, the TV has a good enough contrast ratio to see the detail.

You're an idiot.

This is frustrating, but it's also kind of nice since I get $5 off the game. I guess it helps a little since I'm oficially spending over $120 on games in these past couple days. Anyway, hopefully my gamestop will get it today like they said they would.

As of now, the shipment for Seattle area, for both COD3 and GOW, is stuck in Memphis. I hate fedex and gamestop, because this always happens. Luckily I was able to get COD3 at Circuit City yesterday to distact me until GOW gets here, hopefully today.

I bought an external HD with usb 2.0, but it doesn't seem to work with my 360 for some reason. It's not a problem really, I can share it with windows media connect from another computer and just do it that way, but does anyone know why it would not be working? I'm thinking maybe it's because it shows up as an actual hard disk and not as a portable device, but I don't know. It's a 200gb g-money-maxtor, yo.

"maybe they could learn a thing or two off microsoft"

oh wait, they already did.
ps3 button, playstation online, marketplace, etc. Not to mention the motion tech they lifted from nintendo as a complete afterthought. i'm just glad to see they still have that @#$%ING switch in the back of the console. god i love having to flip some switch in the back every time i want to play.

I hope to get it tonight or tomorrow, then I have 4 days with nothing to do but play GOW. I need to go buy some energy drinks or something...

Like #8 said, as long as the cord is at least aorund 10' long, there shouldn't be any problems. Unless you're dead-set on jumping around and trying to be like a real rock star... I'm too lazy for that, so cords are fine with me.

Anyway, how much do you think this game is going to cost for 360? The first one is $80 now with the controller, how much was it when it first came out?

7156d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Song doesn't fit the game. Do something exciting next time, guys.

7156d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yes, because you haven't heard of anyone you know having the problem, it must not exist, right? If I had been as ignorant as you, my new refurb would be bricked right now. Good going.
