Sorry mithril, but that is complete and utter BS.
The actual coding will be done exclusively on the UEdit tool on a Windows PC. To make a mod ready for the PS3 version you will have to start an easy "export to PS3" tool in the build tool for the PC editor.
I wouldn't want to run the Uedit3 on anything less than 2gb RAM anyways, it's a dreadfull resource hog.
I suggest www.moddb.com for all your mod desires ...
Considering the posted game titles makes the whole thing rather hard to sort ...
All 3 titles are already released, the last "Till the end of Time" being SO3 on the PS2
Most likely the roughly translated forum post points to a re-release compilation of the first 3 SO games for PS3 and xbox360. As i already played through "SO3:Till the end of Time" on my PS2 i am not that interested in going there ... again. I hoped that SO4 would be a NEW games with a...
Good idea, lets divide the southern US countries, too, cause its obviously mexican following your reasoning ..
And Florida should be given to Cuba .. and the rest of the US should be fairly distributed between China and Africa ....
Maybe hand over England to India?
I pity the fools who fail to grasp the conflicts that arise from territorial disputes based in a longer history than certain countries even exist ... most villages in that two countries...
The thing that is really sad is, that for me the perfect golf game would be HSG5 environment graphics + TigerWoods08 Player models and controls.
Now i will surely grab HSG5, but i will miss the analog shot system i like so much on TigerWoods. Imho the button tapping "swing" is so darn outdated that an overhaul like TW got it was necessary.
The more interesting part imho is that they will keep on pushing OLEDs development, cause i bought an ok LCD last x-mass to keep me happy till OLED displays are available at a decent price, and i would rather see them in early 2009 then in late 2010 :P
Unlike you, wageslave, he understood perfectly well what attach rate is.
Attach rate in console business is the number of games sold compared to the number of consoles sold
Sell 10 consoles and 10 games and you get an attach rate of 1.
Sell 1 console and 10 games and you get an attach rate of 10.
The Dreamcast, a well known FAILED system (which i own btw and i liked it very much), has a very high attach rate cause people kept on buying games...
Most likely Sony did not book a whole page-skin advert campaign for Pain, hence no praise. And who would book adverts on a page that is now known as no-value highest bidder scoring advert hub.
You only get negative value from adverts on gamespot for the time being...
Last time i checked the little icons on the back stood for "COMPATIBLE WITH" not for "RENDERED AT"
So 720p on the back means it can display in 720p. Nothing else is promised.
The sad fact that developers like to cut corners by reducing the render resolution to fix coding issues instead of trying to get the max out of the system is not new.
But even more sad is the hordes of people who religiously defend this practice as perfectl...
There is a clear difference in RENDERING and OUTPUTTING
It does not render in anything but 1280*640p, but it is scaled to the needed output resolution via the build in hardware scalerchip.
But NOWHERE on the box they said "rendered in 720p"
So i fail to see any merit in a class action
hmm, i could be mistaken, but wasn't it rendered in 1280*640 ?
No retailer sends a customer to the manufacturer with a broken device right out of the box, who would believe this made up garbage ?
"Oh, you just bought this $169 device from me, and its damaged, oh, not my business, send it to the original manufacturer for repair as i do not have to sell undamaged goods , right?"
Double edged sword there.
On one side i like how Sony constantly adds new stuff to the firmware and keeps the System fresh, but i understand that on the other side developers dislike having to crosscheck their code every time Sony puts out an update to avoid problems. Developer like to plan for longer timespans.
My uneducated guess would be that Sony will continue to release new firmwares frequently till some month after home gets released, thats when they should...
Cool source, a blog, started november 22th this year, with a stunning 5 (in words FIVE) entries ...
Now it is generally known that Bloodmask sits in the basement all day searching google for "ps3 failed" but thats just sad ...
Most likely we will get presented a unique fresh invented "blog" per day with rants made by the man himself, to further his agenda in the future.
On the article itself, its interesting how the PS3 sold up ...
NCSoft would be the most unlikely candidate for being grabbed by EA right now, Ubisoft is much more likely to fall below the marching boots of the good old gameplay-killer ...

As the article concludes, i won't update to Vista just for DX10, sorry but Vista stays OFF my system, permanently. The offered optical benefits do not outweigh the vista performance drop and DRM insanity.
They wait cause they want to buy all needed reviews in advance this time to avoid getting scores below what they pay for in "advertizing".
Imho its a bit unfair to blame Nintendo for the limited supply, they pushed out more units than anyone before in a single year. There is just more demand than supply, deal with it, i bought mine 3 days before x-mass LAST year. And it was the 2nd last in that megastore. You can't just magically rise supply from nowhere. The things have to be produced somewhere, and Nintendo does not want to produce faulty crap that haunts them half a year later with inflated warranty returns.
As far as i heard there is no splitscreen mode in UT3.
