as a gamer, why do you want your contents to be locked into a specific hardware? If you hate DRM, then what is the different if your game is also locked behind a piece of hardware? They are the same except one is digital restriction (but not hardware) and one is hardware restriction (software is locked behind that hardware too).

So tell me what is on the contract? how do they screw em in detail ? if u don't have it, then it is quite speculation. Do u actually know what business involved? that's right, contract. so what if MS bring over all PC games (new and old) over to xbox through UWP (which seems most likely that is where they headed, a unification between PC and xbox)? Wouldn't that give MS a massive boost in contents(retrospectively and moving forward) over what PS4 could offer?

a couple of things could happen:
Possible Advantage (moving forward):
- if UWP can get all the PC games (new and old) just as steam does (where UWP most likely headed anyway), but you can also play them on xbox (cheaper hardware and additional MS exclusives) as well -> more devices that you can play them on. Steam did try to get into the console like business, but failed. MS already has decent footing in console so that is an advantage.

nice, now I can try to find everything. Spent +100hrs on this game back then and still missing stuff and some dream sequences. Tried to get those rare items later on from the auction house, but got out bid by a chicken quite a few times; Sakaguchi sure has some twisted humor :D.

So if I don't get the Ps4pro, but get the scorpio instead (ps4/xbox to scorpio), wouldn't that be even more impressive than a jump from ps4/xbox to ps4pro?
Yeah i tried the PSVR on PS4 and it does ran fine. I don't know what Itagaki is talking about. I don't have to upgrade to Ps4 pro since PSVR ran quite well on ps4 so that is a plus.
I don' know, but looking at drive club VR for example, I don't know how PS4 (not the PS4 pro) can handle the graphics, physics simulation, running at native 60fps and online without a hitch. Didn't Sony want to maintain parity between PS4 and PS4 pro? I can see more and more support for PS4pro VR later on while the PS4 will get bare bone support, if any. Hence the reason for Ps4 pro in the first place.

MS has studios that are more than comparable to Sony at certain genre such as:
FPS genra: Halo (even with 343) vs. Killzone (Gurilla)
Racing: Forza/Forza horizon (Turn 10 & Play ground ) vs. GT/Drive Club (polyphony/evolution studio is)
Creative: minecraft (mojang) vs. LBP (media molecule)
Platforming/Puzzle/Action/Str ange: Rare collections (Rare, too many to name) vs Rachet & Clank (Insomniac, but Sony own the IP, not the developer)
