well i'm looking at a gamer perspective (hardcore even), and I still don't see why anyone would like their content to be lock behind a single medium instead of having the option/flexibility to play on anything else (something that they might already have)?
Furthermore, if a game is really good, wouldn't you as a gamer wanted it to flourish, to be able to sell more? How would it being locked behind a single medium (the only way for exposure) is a good thing for ...

It is going to be on UWP so yes you can get it on PC. It is probably one of it kind, nothing like it out there still. It is my #1 game still. If u want more info, check out son description about it on youtube. https://m.youtube.com/watch...

So when is the release date cause I have been itching to go back online since like 10 years ago. Day 1 for sure. This game just doesn't get old, funny that it is even more relevant now than when it was released years ago on original Xbox. In my opinion, this is the best game ever. 😁
wasn't the xbox one s cheaper than the slim ps4 (i'm not even talking about the ps4pro which is consider premium console and still doesn't have it) and that one has 4k blue-ray player? So how much more do you think it would add up if Sony does add it to their system? Did adding the player push the price up for xbox one s (which apparently is cheaper than the ps4 slim)? Isn't Sony is one of the many pioneer of blue-ray player? Would you pay more for a non 4k blue-ray vs one...
well fanboys for sure are delusional, but Sony is also quite delusional if they think PSnow will pick up with that kind of offering, at that price, and less quality. Is Sony trying to kill it after eating up both Gaikai and Onlive? Why even try to keep it going or improve it when even their fans scrubbing it away like they just step on shi*

how can Horizon a masterpiece in terms of NPC when most "except those with dialogue" are pretty much unresponsive? Like this:
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Old games like GTA5, Fable, Assassin Creed, etc...have much more responsive/interaction NPCs than Horizon.

I don't know about if u guys play Zelda yet but it is probably the first open world game that really utilize all assets (environment, elements, combat, survival, creativity, thinking, etc..) and make them all interactive while promoting creativity, uncertainty, and constant surprises encounters throughout. As good as horizon and witcher or any other open world game up to this point, I really haven't seen such interaction at this level. Here are some comparison of how interactive, cr...
though if you own both consoles (without a capable PC to play newer xbox games) and don't want to pay for both online services (PSN, LIVE) just so you can play MP (3rd party), then just pay for xlive instead (practically all of xbox games have MP) because most PS4 1st party games are sp only. :D
then perhaps you should list them since you live in the real world (I don't even know what that is so perhaps you can enlighten me oh wise one :), I know I could have miss a few. I do welcome constructive opinion and things that you think I miss :D. Be as objective as possible.
Ps4:
Pro:
- if you like more single player only game
- if you want additional Japan centric games on top
- a very solid gaming machine (prioritize as gaming console), lots of variety of genra.
Cons:
- less focus on multimedia support (less audio format support than ps3, doesn't have 4k blue-ray player, less multimedia apps support)
- it only support PSVR, so if you want more choice for VR, ps4 isn't ideal for that.
Both games are great game in their own ways, but with that said, after playing both (currently zelda), i'm starting to lean toward zelda alot more, not trying to knock horizon or anything. In my opinion, this zelda game is probably the first open world exploration game done right. Everything is just so interactive (the environment, elements, weapons, gameplay, etc...), creative, experimental, uncertainty and with such intricate details that really surprise me everytime. This is so imp...
it depends:
PS4 if you want:
SP focus
Japan centric IPs
Xbox if you want:
MP focus
PC and BC contents
If you get PC instead of xbox:
- no reason to buy 3rd party games at all on either ps4 or xbox (online pay, expansive, etc..)
- xbox died, and PS4 becomes like the wii u -> only exclusive -> eventually die anyway.
@Stuna1
u see, the purpose of UWP is to make xbox and pc virtually the same, so contents can be shared between the two (kind of like how developer can just develop on one setting for PC and it automatically scale to the hardware, that what xbox is transforming into). What it also means that it can tailor to a wider range of consumers with an even wider budget range.
So if they are practically the same, then what contents (games in this case) available on PC will a...
oh I will. I'm still playing it right now on 360 (still playing it for over 10 years) and still love every minute of it. If resolution really determine how good the game is, then I guess that why developer only care about graphic rather than have actual substances. You probably don't have any clue what this game is about anyway. If I can only play one game for the rest of my life, phantom dust is the one to pick (you know it has substance and endless possibility of strategic game...
"They can take their micro-transactions, DLC, and paid online service with them." shouldn't Sony exit the gaming business as well if that is the case?
It seems you lots are really angry for some reason, what is the problem?
Though I did heard crimson sky, ooh what is that about? interesting.
Will we be able to interact with it though? Like in skyrim, you can down a butterfly by shooting at it wings while it flies around.
oh good time with Captain N there. I did really like that episode with Simon and Captain N, especially with Michael Jackson Thriller theme song. Man I don't think a lot of people would know this (at least CorndogBurglar seems to remember :D) or that old Zelda cartoon (did Link ever get to kiss Zelda I don't remember?).
Well I guess I'll take a look once it is on Netflix.
@bathyj
Ok then here is the opposite idea why exclusive isn't necessary. The reason why I buy a console is the contents (like you said you use to own all three as example), not buying the contents because of the console. I enjoyed the ability to have access to that contents without being restricted to a specific hardware. Now, the services that allow me to do that is more appealing to me, Steam as an example or soon to be UWP, than a service that locked me behind a s...
Poor moldy but I see a trend:
The underdog always seem to be more consumer friendly while the one at the top doesn't need to be consumer friendly (x360 vs PS3, now reverse xboxone vs ps4). It sound like business as usual, but what about you as a user of the hardware? Do you want improvement or are you complacement with what they provide? That's why competition is a good thing, when there is no competition, corporate will just ran you over because they can (Sony, ...
