Better Option: Do what I did, find a girl you like and turn them into a gamer. My fiance had only really like Snowboarding Kids and Mario Party when we met, now in the past month she, by a miracle or satan, beat the intro level of Dark Souls. You just gotta figure out what kinda games they like and find ways to inspire them to try new games. I told her I would buy her anything she wanted, basically a new car, if she beat Dark Souls. After 2 months she still hasn't gotten far in Dark ...
Well in the same sense if PS4 let devs control whether their used games are able to work or not and then say the PS4 plays used games it makes the point moot if most devs make their games unusable if used.
Edit: It won't necessarily be a lie but more a way to cover themselves.
I agree, I got Uncharted same as you because I had just picked up a PS3 and this game was all that people talked about. Once I finished it I was very disappointed.
Not that it was a bad game, actually the first half of the game felt up to the hype, but the second half of the game is when I realized all the Gears of War references were kinda true. The story and overall platforming were great but in that second half it seems like all your doing is sitting behind cover, shooti...
Gran tourismo isn't really my thing and I used to love SSM for GOW until they started to, in my eyes, lose their integrity by changing the trophy name and then making a section of the game easier. But I'm with you to each his own.
*Looks at name*
I don't know, something makes me feel like your biased towards xbox. Can't quite put my finger on it but I know it's there.
Off Topic: Why do I feel when you said "my bf" somehow a lot of lonely people on this site got sad lol.
Also the comments below kind of validate that thought.
@Shuyin
Exactly it's Quality > Quantity, never understood why Sony fanboys/girls(MariaHelFutura) make the argument Sony is better because of the amount of exclusives.
Edit: Not dissing Sony just saying the argument itself is invalid, quality is mostly an opinion.
I like the fact that both are going different routes, makes owning multiple consoles even better when you can get different experiences from them.
This way, if Xbox works with cable and all that, I will have the Xbox in my living room while the PS4 is in my game room. Oh who am I kidding, they both will be in my game room cause I never leave it anyway.
Naughty Dog yes, the rest..meh. The only devs I see for me are Naughty Dog, Bungie, and those guys who made COD4, I think it's Respawn.
Edit: Focusing mainly on next gen exclusive devs.
@Brutallyhonest
Has Sony said they are officially going to be able to use used games yet? I don't mean what they said back at the reveal I mean after multiple execs said that that was a mistake to say as they are still looking at options. Can't remember the article or person exactly who said this but I believe it was when they interviewed the head of Sony in UK.
Is it bad that I thought of the victim yelling out "Revive Me"!
Don't you have to pay to have internet? Oh your trolling, now I get it.
God forbid a company would need the help of the best selling and most famous franchise to sell a console. Especially since no one ever asks for these games as well as new Zelda, Uncharted, Halo, or Gran Turismo games. /s
Halo did save the first Xbox, it is the one game that made people believe it was worth buying. It was the sole reason for about 20 Xboxs to be sold in my hometown, which is about everyone who bought one...it's a very small town.
Then you got sucked in by games like KOTOR 1/2 and Crimson Skies...which we are still waiting for new entries unfortunately.
I'm not saying that this was always their philosophy, more just that who they are. Back in the day no one cared how powerful a system was, they just cared if it was fun to play games on. I've been gaming for about 20 yrs and I had just as much fun playing Mario Party 9 in college as I did playing the first 3 in elementary school. Nintendo has always had fun games rather than ones with good or "realistic" graphics and it has always seem to work for them.
But that's the thing with Nintendo, they never about competing with specs. Sure it would be nice for them to have an equally powerful machine but that's not what their system is. Nintendo is primarily 1st party games that never compete graphically, but are almost untouched in level of pure fun. As long as they make their games enjoyable to play they will be fine; unless your Crytek graphics != good game.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw Madden and Wii U. I hope EA doesn't continue to have complete control over the license for these games and someone a little more innovative can try one with good support for the Wii U.
I would like to see a less forgiving consequence for when you decide which side arm to level up other than just some of current "experience" you gained on the opposite side go down some. I'm sure the penalty gets more severe as your level is higher but if they can get me into a debate every time I wanted to save/sacrifice someone would be interesting.
That same reasoning is why my cousin and I wanted to invent the video game console remote disc changer...unfortunately we were 12 and had no idea how that would work.
@legend
No...that's why I chose Dark Souls, to buy myself a couple decades for her to beat it. I did though about sh*t my pants when she got past the intro level on her second try with very little help from me.
