No it's not masterful. The idea of getting hype up right before your competitor is going to get all the attention is pretty bad. We maybe looking at Sony now, but the moment that conference starts all eyes will be on Xbox.
What they should of done, or still can do, is hit it hard just a couple hours or so after the Xbox reveal. That way right when everyone is kinda settling down from what they have seen all eyes would turn right back to Sony to see their "response...

Anyone who only played one console was a loser. How can people live with themselves without playing MGS, GOW, Halo, Gears, Mario, and Zelda. It's the perfect combination of awesome.
I think he's right about how they are taking on more than just Sony and Nintendo and in a sense that might be winning, maybe. As for who had the best console will always be a debate between the fanboys of this site.

Going by the games of this gen I'm betting it can easily be beaten in one day session. I will be pleasantly surprised if this is not true as not enough games have had enough substance to be worth the price.

It went great actually. The original Xbox was a very good system with games arguably better than the PS2. Did it sell better? No, no home console will sell that much again.

Edit: Basically what aquamala said, Uncharted 3 was nowhere near the top, also don't forget about Portal 2. Uncharted 2 has a better record for their year but I believe there where better games that year.
I don't know how people finally decide what is GOTY. Most years it is way to close to call a GOTY with few exceptions here and their where it is generally believed for a game to have won it.
It would be awesome for one of these, I think Last of Us will, to win GOTY as it could inspire other companies to take chances on new IPs.
For the 360 comment I refer back to my first statement. Some people believe Gears 1, Mass Effect 1(we will count it as 360 game...

By all accounts it is not a good MMO. If it were good people would have still been willing to pay to play it.
Thinking rationally is not looking that EA has made a lot of mistakes, most of them in the past few years, and thinking "it's a good thing the worst company in America(twice) got exclusive control of a beloved franchise".
I'm guessing you never played the first two KOTORs did you? Yeah, EA pretty much destroyed that series so I see maybe a good Battlefront and maybe another out of nowhere game to be good. The rest will be crap.
She always uses guides, and it's something I just hate to see for just beating the game. I usually have to sit there, watch her, and hit her hand ever time she starts to get on her phone.
I'm fine with guides if your trying to get extra stuff on like a second playthrough, Final Fantasy Weapons and extra GFs or Aeons or whatever, but to use a guide to play the entire game for you goes against what a game is.
Well only US, I know us North Americans all look alike but please a little consideration lol.

Not only does he not have the power to enforce this tax in other countries, he doesn't have the power to do it here, it is against the constitution and a recent Supreme Court ruling. Of course this is Merica and neither of those things seem to matter when you want them to.

He didn't say they would stop supporting Windows, that would be crazy at first, but rather that if Valve starts making a bigger push toward linux other would start supporting it. Would make games on PC a lot more efficient.

Yes Civ 5 does blow in 1080P. I know that seems counter intuitive but some reason 1080P on that game makes everything extremely small or at least seem far away. I have it at a much lower resolution just so I can actually see everything.
