COD4, Bioshock, Fallout, Skyrim or Oblivion(choose your favorite), Red Dead Redemption, Halo 3, Gears 1, MGS4, and Half-life 2 are all up their as well.

If you can say some of the best games ever made are indie titles with a straight face then I feel sorry for you.
Overall, indie games will never be as good as the full AAA title. Does that mean that an indie game will never be better than an AAA game? No. It's just that you will never find indie games that can compete with the hundred of great AAA games we have gotten in the last 25 yrs.
