dlacy yes the jump was significant from ps2/xbox to this gen. but, we had to wait until gears of war hit before we finally saw it.
NO LAUNCH title on either console this gen showed the difference.
a bit like the ps1/ps2 jump. it wasn't until gta £ hit that we saw something finally that wasn't possible on the ps1

bottom line, when the ps3 launched, ps2 had sold over 120m units, and the original xbox 25m.
no one expected what happened last gen to happen. even with the higher price point and last to release, everybody expected the ps3 to demolish the 360.
fast forward 7-8yrs, and ps3 is sitting around 80m and the 360 around 78m (yep numbers pulled from my arse but there you go)....
i dont really like agreeing with the idiotic fanboys on here. but, i cant honestly see the xbox outselling the ps4 next gen.
unless there are some things that we dont know about.. i would have to agree with the poster aboves sales numbers predictions
