Yep, That is why most games that come from Activision are usually mediocre at best. When it becomes more important to advertise a game instead of making a game, the quality usually suffers.
We need more gamers running this industry, and alot less suits.

All game developers need to make a profit, but it definetely shows when a developer makes games with only $$$ in their eyes.
There is a reason developers like the Kojima's/Bioware's/Tea m Ico's are head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to quality games. (They actually seem to care for their fans and their products,and it shows in their games)

The avatars are not the problem. Rare can change the avatars all they want, it's not going to fix Kinect's problems. Kinect does not work most of the time, that is a technology problem, not an unrealistic avatar problem.
Kinect cannot recognise the human body as well as Microsoft wants you to believe. The tech sucks, and their is nothing any game maker can do until Microsoft gets a camera that works 100% of the time.

What we were just shown by this Kinect tech demo was that Kinect does not track your body very well.
If Kinect does not track your body at all times with precision, it will only be able to make games that dont work 100% of the time.

Im not going to argue that Halo Reach seems to have alot of stuff packed into a nice little package, but Gran Turismo 5 & Little Big Planet 2 definetly trump Reach when it comes to "Bang for your buck"
The amount of content that GT5 & LBP2 have is absolutely unmatched, I have never seen so much stuff packed into one game.

DD will play a bigger part in PS4/Xbox3/Wii2 generation, but I could definetly see PS5/Xbox4/Wii3 being equipped for DD only in about 8-10 years.
I think as soon as Sony/MS/Nintendo can get away with selling their games through Digital Distribution only, they will. There are too many people that still enjoy Physical Media too much for them to change it. (at least right now)

I think that is what every 360 owner hopes for. Most everything that was great about the 360 is now being put aside for this half a$$ed camera that only works half of the time.
Kinect is an insult to every core 360 owner, and I cant wait until it fails, so Microsoft can get back to supporting it's current user base again.
Kinect has only convinced people that it is a shoddy add on of a tech that Sony and others have introduced several years ago.
Every time a Kinect video is shown, it is laughed at. Every time it is played by a journalist, it gets mocked.

7 out of 21 of my PSN friends have PlayStation Plus.
33% of my friends list is using PS Plus, that's not bad at all. If Sony could get even 10% of the near 40 Million PS3 owners to get PS Plus, that would be a huge win for Sony.
I just hope Sony uses alot of that extra profit for more PSN experiences, instead of keeping 99.9% of it like Microsoft does.
Tech?
After watching a ton of Kinect Videos, and having about 10 minutes of time actually using Kinect, I thought it was just packed with Rubber bands & chewed bubble gum.
There is no way they put tech into the camera, otherwise it would work a bit better than it does now.
We did see Killzone 3/Little Big Planet 2/Motorstorm Apocalypse/Infamous 2 all announced right before E3 this year. They might just do something similar with the PSP 2 before TGS.
It looks like they may have way too much to show in only a 1 hour time slot.

This is good because it is a $10-$15 PSN game not a $50 game. If Kinect games were priced at around $10, then maybe you would have something.
