Sony knew nothing. Hell, foxconn said they were unaware of what was going on and have fixed it. The funny thing is that some "people" are holding on as tight as they can to this. It really is quite disturbing.

The updates are automatic unless it's a day one patch it'll download whenever it's available (you don't even need to be there), the cloud storage is seamless and the speed is identical to XBL and steam every time I've used it. Apart from the install which occurs after download (steam does the same thing) and is OS based not PSN based.

Dual stacking is common practice when it comes to IPv4 and IPv6. It's crap that we're still transitioning. The hardware's cheap, it's the infrastructure that's absent/lacking.
Anyway, point is it's going to be a while before IPv6 makes a difference to many people in the world. It sucks but that's the way it is.
