UI ppl can get around. Some bugs sure. Witcher 3 was not a mess at launch.
Mess is when you have disconnects, freezes, lag, disappearing npcs, corrupted saves, huge graphical issues etc on top of the UI issues and low lvl game issues.
And then on top of that, add microtransactions.
And to top that off, Battle Pass.
Sony and Nintendo exclusive games you can trust.
Sony has maintained top tier quality since PS2 if not PS1.
That's how you set an example.
TBH, even MS exclusives have been excellent lately and are insane in PC settings and optimizations.
I see this bad launch trend in 3rd party games.
Thats the truth.
Not many Skyrim lvl RPG's out there.
I totally agree. That original Xbobx One UI from 2014 was my fav UI in any console I have ever owned.
I'd take a VR headset like that.
When customized, Xbox UI can be so easy. You can literally have it all in front of you.
Its impressive to have it look this good across the gens.
Playground did a great job.
Very expected.
I am a huge fan of Forza games and I am glad this did not disappoint.
I don't think so either.
I prefer the Halo modes offered. We already have other Battle Royale games.
If they do make a Battle Royale for Halo, its not a big deal to me but I hope that does not take resources and balancing away from the other Multiplayer modes.
@oldenjohn
Yeah, that's not a thing. Just look at the highest grossing games of the last decade if you need proof.
/facepalm
I guess we should have stuck with the visuals of God of War 1 and 2. There's no need for believable facial animations.
Its simple. Games that use visuals for atmosphere/gameplay/narrative etc benefit from attention to visuals.
Every single game in the top grossing lis...
@oldenjon
''This visual intelligence idea is nonsense''
Just watch every dev surpass those who dont consider their audiences visual intelligence.
In fact, if you want a sample. Read the comments section of every single game reveal trailer.
Let's not even get into why a certain shooter got delayed for an entire year. Ask craig to comment on that.
Very backward idea.
You can further every aspect of the game in full synergy and we have seen that with many titles. In fact the visuals and sound weigh in heavily on the role playing/immersion aspect of any game or we would be playing stick figure Dark Souls on a white background.
It could be they are comfortable with the current engine etc. There could be a number of reasons.
But what they can't ignore is the audience intelligence...
That looked very last gen.
I can see that. I do like the Portal concept but I am very very skeptical.
Jeebus. There isnt enough popcorn.
I'll take a good campaign.
Lately nothing feels fresh. Next gen needs to have some Mind Blowing feeling games.
There are skins?
Wow
Lol this is gonna be a new thing isn't it.
Launch year torture the early buyers and then apologize.
Players: Oh look maybe they are listening, this is a good thing.
I need two left faces to faceplam.
This gen is a 60fps gen. 120 FPS is asking quite a bit.
I'm sure they could do it with an average looking game with less physics and mechanics under the hood.
Basically saying PS5 launch games and some previous PS games should come to PC.
