I'm a huge NG fan, having finished both the original and Black on very hard, and almost Master Ninja. And NG is coming to the ps3.
Now, it has repeatedly been said before and the developper's always said it, this will be a port of the original game to the ps3, with more improvements. They never mentionned it will be an entirely new game. So if people were waiting for a "new game", then they are wrong.

You need to realize that movies until now were originally shot with a standard resolution. So you will only see little differences between the dvd format and movies transferred on bluray.
But if you put in a movie that was shot on 720 or 1080, then there is a very clear and noticeable difference on your hdtv. Not every movie will be shot in HD format, but as it will get more popular, you will see more and more of them.

Played both series, and I totally agree. DMC ennemies are like puppets. You can just hack and slash through withtout any tactics and win. And the harder difficulty levels only gives ennemies more hit points.
While the higher difficulty levels of NG resides in the higher skills of the ennemies, not in more life. Also, for those who didn't know, there is an easy level on NG black, aka Ninja Dog. It's much much easier but still challenging. So even novice players can get their way through...
No news for NG2.
All we know is that Itagaki is working on "something" he hasn't done before (ie. not DOA nor NG), and that he's supposed to develop on x360...
He also said that NG fans won't be forgotten, but if you compound the first information, you can hypothesise it's not NG2...
Being a huge fan of Ninja Gaiden, Sigma is the only title I'm really looking forward to. The main attractiveness in NG is how good the gameplay and mechanics are. You cannot just get in and mash at buttons and win. You need skills to beat the game, and that's what really sets it apart from other games such as DMC or God of War (which is good too, but not as rewarding as NG IMHO). It makes the game feel more realistic and challenging.

How can you possibly forecast that the 360 version of UT3 will outsell the ps3 version by a HUGE MARGIN? For any fps, I'll take a keyboard and a mouse any day, and that option certainly won't appear on x360. And this is a deciding factor for some gamers to take the ps3 version over the x360.

Sony's vision is more long term success than short term. While in the short term, their business plan may not really pay off, the ps3 will be more profitable in the coming years and may even surpass its competitors.
You people need to realize this is a conference for developpers.
From a developpers standpoint, the Wii IS a piece of sh1t when the console has clearly been labeled Next-Gen by everyone and Nintendo itself. Underpar graphical and audio capabilites, lack of cpu power for computing good AI. He isn't talking about the fun factor nor the phenomenal success the console had, which has NOTHING to do with developping games.
For a developper, it's like making a game for the 16-bit consol...
The graphics of NG on xbox1 was amazing, and even the majority of 360 games don't have as good graphics as the original NG xbox1.
Now, IMHO, and I'm repeating this from another thread and you already read and comment on it, from what I can tell from the videos, NG Sigma have as good graphics as Gears of War (and I finished that game BTW).
And both NGS and GOW graphics are clearly WAY better than the original xbox. You seem to forget that there were CGI cutscenes in NG xb...
