It's bad when Microsoft does it too. It's okay for 2nd party devs because it gives their games more exposure. It's not consumer friendly when there's a big publisher involved.

I don't mind it when it's small studios though, like Kena and Rocket League and Jett and The Devil Inside because it highlights small studios and gives them more exposure and hopefully more sales.

No, not like buying studios who were in financial trouble and saving them (inXile, Compulsion, Double Fine) and creating more jobs by increasing each studio's staff. Not like that at all.
