I preordered both just in case they went the heroic route like a kindle. Knew it was a long shot on happening but you never know. I guess its better than having to bend over and let att stick it in for even more pillaging than they already do with the data plans. They charge me to tether off my iphone which is on an unlimited plan, and then charge 20 bucks for 2gb's of data for the tether it still looks like the wifi model for me.

The day and night cycles make them feel like new maps at times. So if it ships with 10 maps, adding night features to those maps could make it seem like 10 different maps.
This was done with earlier Socom titles and added a whole new element to gameplay and tactics. Where some maps you were forced to use night vision/thermal scopes during the night which made for intense battles in caves/dark lit areas that would normally not have any sort of suspense to them.
ive had the beta since it was available, and have not even fired it up yet. Been too busy with the other releases, I will be lucky if I check it out before it releases

I found a way to see the SRPA Death Ops guy (zombie lookin dude) on the multiplayer select screen. Go to the SRPA Death Ops and press down-up-down-up a few times slow then fast to take a look at the guy it should stop at the Tommy Dean character and shows up. Unlocks at level 60. Jurassic-The Hunted
Its basically Call of Duty with dinosaurs. Not a great game, but not as bad as I expected it to be. The T-Rex boat battle is similar to Jurassic Park 3.
A definite rent for Dino Heads, it will give you some entertainment. Better than Duke Nukem/Bodycount.
I have issues from time to time, but to say it is a total mess is bullshit. There is occasional lag spikes but thats to be expected for the 1st few days with everyone downloading the game patches and the servers to get accustomed to the loads of the increased demand.
The points system is pissing me off, its going to be a chore I can tell to level up in order to unlock weapons attachments and some perks to make yourself competitive. It also seems that they changed the bright...

maybe the dude enjoys certain games and plays only those games, I have a variety of trophies and no plats I bounce around from game to game. Its not all about stupid ass achievements and trophies, its about playing with your friends and enjoying some of the games you have without trying to repeat a level 15 times to kill 3 guys with a grenade at one time.

Modern Warfare 2's tacked on 3rd person was better than Socom 4 and that was just thrown on there to give a taste to people who prefer that style. There was no reason they couldnt have done that for MAG, or they could have developed an actual socom game :)

If it was called MAG2.0, or Special forces, or Call of Ghost Recon Socom Vegas I would have understood. We were told that the reason Socom Confrontation was filled with problems was due to budget/timeframe/lack of developer experience yet it outshined Socom 4 until they put in the MAG style weapons progression system towards the end of confrontation support with the patches.

The only thing socom about this is the name they chose to deceive their longtime fans with in order to dupe us into buying into their garbage yet again. If patch 1.5 doesnt change the game a ton, this game is getting packed up and sent back to amazon.
I feel awful for going through best buy to get some of their lame ass pre order specials but I am doing it for the $100 gift card by preordering 5. Normally I go through amazon, but I got sick of waiting out for the 10-15-20 credit for the new games.

for the longest time that was one of my biggest beefs with my iphone about the lack of flash, but nowadays nearly every "relevant" (non porn) website has adapted to the html5 standard and are better off for it. Nothing pisses me off more than some shit ass ad blasting through my speakers at 1 am while doing some surfing for a shit product that I didnt click on or even mouse over. (looking at you n4g)
