ah I see what you are saying, then yes your right. As far as next gen consoles go, blue dragon is the best, so far. The ps3 actually has more than 5 just not many of them are in america:( How does the 360 have 23?? are you counting games not out yet??
I just don't like saying the main reason that 360 isn't doing well is because its american. I don't think the japanese are that dumb or ignorant.
they are that way to a degree, but what the hell, america isn't?? if you compare the range of type of game the Japanese play to what we americans play, americans are close minded by far. Whatever wins in Japan wins the war normally. Also most console games are from japan so the 360 would be taking a huge hit if they don't get their heads back on straight. Japanese hates xbox because they think most americans think the way you just said.
your right, but its notjust that, they just don't really like FPS, what does 360 mostly have? They need games. There are very few japanese games there period, not just rpgs.
Blue dragon is good, but its really not that good, sorry. Thats just what xbox people say when they haven't played that many rpgs. I can think of 25 games better than it. ITs not even close to persona 2,3, dragon quest7,8, final fantasy 6,7,8,10,12, xenogears, wild arms 1,2, lunar 1,2 breath of fire 2,3,4

The japanese need more than just marine shooters and sports titles. Shoot I need more than that. I can't imagine the 360 staying in japan if they don't have a great TGS this year. They will still be ok even if that happens, because of the great sales in the US. However I won't be buying one then.
They better pray that ninja gaiden 2 is xbox only or they might as well stop shipping 360's there. Lets see if lost odyssey and NG 2 help it. If not nothing can, unless the unforseen happen and they get MGS or FF13 only for thier system.
If there ever going to make me buy a 360 they are going to have to massive strides in this field, mass effect is just not doing it for me. Lost odyssey looks good though.
I know there are a lot coming out. I just mean as of right now. PS3 is the next gen system to get if you like JRPGs. I hope they make one more xenosaga, and maybe a direct sequel to xenogears!!

by the way DYNASTY WARRIORS games are not short, have you even played them? There are like 35 characters to unlock with each one with five stages that take hours to complete just for one guy. This game isn't like it. Geez in DW the enemies just stand there, very bad AI.
I totally agree. Bioshock is short and has no multiplayer but that isn't keeping anyone saying its great either, thats the double standard. Its a freaking hack and slash game, not an rpg, how long did they think it was going to be??

man persona 3 is prob the rpg of the year. This huge A++ for a JRPG fan like myself. One complaint about my ps3 is there isn't enough of games like this. Thank god there are still good rpgs coming out on the ps2.
IF you combine the sales of ps2, ps3, and psp, and that even psp is out selling the 360 in Japan. Sony is doing ok. Once the price goes down, all those ps2 owners will upgrade. After a year a two and people get tired of the wii, they will either buy a ps3 and 360.
It just sad that games like heavenly sword and uncharted might get overlooked because of halo 2.5... :(
well psp is getting lots of love just not love americans like. There are tons of rpgs coming, two star ocean remakes, FF crisis core, FF tatics remake, diseaga remake/redux. It already has metal gear portable obs, joane de arc, loco roco. Not to mention it will be even more important with home coming out.
hideo kojima showed up at the sony press conf, but there is still whispers that MGS4 may be coming to the 360 inventually, so this might just be coming to the ps3 in a later release. Team ninja said they were very pleased with the ps3 when they made sigma and they have been known to only work for the console he thinks is the most powerful.

I for one bought four games in one week two weeks ago. Warhawk, lair, DW gundam, and wild arms 5. Then heavenly sword this week, I'm going to have to save my money up to get uncharted and rachet and clank now!!
well uncharted A.I. looked a little weird at first and it took too long for them to die, but in a new preview i saw it looked like they fixed that, but seeing how hard the reviewers are on ps3 games lately, I say 8.5 at best, some will say controls are bad,30 fps, and too short. lol even if it is a 10/10
mass effect my guess it will get really high scores, however jade empire shocked me a got lower scores than expected. So who knows
