right on meus. I think the game was rushed. The 360 is dying in japan and has very little rpgs coming down the line. So they had to rush it out there.
its a tough choice, do they hype it up so poeple can be exicted only to be let down? or do they do nothing and maybe have a great sleeper hit or maybe no one will notice it and it bombs. Real tough. Mk-red I watched the first 10 mins of LO and it does not have bad graphics. The story does seem interesting I guess, and if it does have a ps2 feel that isn't all bad, ps2 was the best rpg system ever made. However I would say emotional wise the game is worse than ps2 games. I mean dragon quest 8, rouge galaxy, and final fantasy 10 & 12 had better emotions, movement, and facial animation. I don't understand why most rpgs on the 360 have this problem. I disagree. DQ 8 was awesome for rpg lovers. It didn't really offer anything new battle wise, but it had everything rpg lovers love, great character designs, interesting story, funny and likable characters. It has a very classic feel, and thats one of the things I like about it. Even though it has a classic feel, it didn't feel simple or mudane or overdone like Blue dragon did.
well thats good, but lets see how it does in a month. Blue dragon sold well at first, then bombed later, so we shall see.
its not wierd. Look at america, all they really care about is shooter games. They prob look at the US and think their dumb or wierd too. Whats your point? Its not weird it just different. You mean Japan actually prefers a game made by japanese over a shooter game made by westerners, I'm shocked!

me too!!! Akuma is my favorite, also Evil ryu. The alpha series was my personal fav. I really hope they have at least ryu, ken, chung li, I would say guile but he is dead so charlie, sakura, akuma, and oh! got to have Dan. hehe.
I think so, the second one was actually better than the first. The series is very dark, and it has very dark humor. Its very Japanese though, so play it only if you like that kind of stuff. the three on the ps2 are all very good and tie in nicely!!
not sure. In Shadow hearts, when you attacked you had a ring that would show up with certain targets and while the needle is spinning around you press x when the needle overlaps each target, if you hit each target you get multi hits in!!

yup, thats my biggest beef with them. Can't tell you how many stores I have been into that the ps3 wasn't even turned on. I have asked them before, one guy even told me who cares its ps3 no one plays it. One guy tried to get me to buy call of duty 4 on the 360 instead of the ps3 trying to tell me the ps3 version sucked. well preordering isn't as dumb as you might think. For game like halo or madden is really dumb, for games I buys sometimes I have to. Games like king of fighters XI, la Pucelle, growlanser, maki kingdom, and soul nomad, if I want it new i have to preorder it. Places like target, walmart, and best buy don't have those games, I can always find it later used maybe, so for me I do, because gamestops and gamecrazy only get like two or three copies per store :(
no offense, but this might as well be called the 360 awards if you throw out super mario galaxy. I mean no warhawk for multiplayer or even for best download content? heavenly sword not in art design? basicilly no uncharted?? Halo 3 getting nominated that much when it really was overhyped? I'm not saying those ps3 games should win, but at least be nominated. Not to mention their rpg nominees are a joke!

I know! warhawk and uncharted totally got screwed. the best RPG section is a joke. Only mass effect and final fantasy advance VI belong there, but I forgot unless its a jap rpg with final fantasy in it, it doesn't exist for some people. sigh...
I don't agree with most of this, they should have called this how many awards can we give halo 3, bioshock, mass effect, and call of duty 4 awards. geez jap games get scrubbed again :(

haha you guys are something else. Geez nit picking at its best. He never said the ps3 out sold the 360 in the UK, he said "closing the gap" and he is right on that.
well, if you want many great rpgs, dont' settle for those. Get a PS2 and a DS! those systems are where the really good Jrpgs are at. Raise your standards!!!
PS. However eternal sonata was a really good game, I'm looking forward to playing it in a few months with extra characters and story! hehe
